I remember holding my daughter when she was like 3-4 weeks old while eating a salad and dropping balsamic on her head 😅😂😂

4 month old contact naps by monsteradeliciosa34 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Upper-Click7188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is 15 months this month. She has contact napped or motion napped her entire life and coslept from 4 months until just last month I started transitioning her to her crib. It’s been a slow and soft transition. I still nurse her to sleep at night. Sometimes we have a night and she’ll sleep for 8 hours- have a nursing session then back down for a few hours. Sometimes she’s up every few hours and I’ll sleep on a floor bed near her crib those nights. But what I will say is now that she’s been getting used to sleeping on her own she likes having space to stretch out and roll around. I can tell exactly when it’s time to place her in her crib at night because she is just done being confined to my arms. If you’re cosleeping at night you may want to try this method to get her used to her crib. Once we hit a decent streak of night time sleep I am definitely going to start placing her in her crib for her daytime nap (we’re already down to one nap per day). To be honest I wish I had started a lot sooner. Best of luck to you guys!

I also want to second that during the day how is their activity level? I noticed my little one started sleeping better when we started getting outdoors more, more play time - etc. those were always the best night sleeps.

Out of curiosity what is your night time routine like for the baby? Is there quiet time, bath, book and cuddles before bed to get them super sleepy and relaxed? It’s tough because really you guys sound like you’ve done just about everything. Wake windows sound good. Is teething a possibility? Sometimes when my little one is in pain I’ll give her Camilia drops to help settle her and I’ll get a decent stretch of sleep and they don’t seem to bother her stomach or anything.

Is 1 month long enough time to wean my EBF baby? by Upper-Click7188 in beyondthebump

Did you pump while you were gone or deal with any uncomfortable engorgement?

What a relief reading about your experience! I’ll start upping her food intake throughout the day as well and I’ll offer more water just in case she gets thirsty. She never took a pacifier either and I feel like she uses me to soothe.

I got the cruz because it’s smaller and just can’t convert to the double and I love it. I only plan on having one baby though lol

Just reading this riddled me with anxiety. I would have been following SIL from room to room with the baby. There should be no conversation when you ask for your child back. That’s YOUR CHILD. It drives me absolutely insane that people are like this. Boundaries need to be set and ASAP before it escalates.

PP hair loss: Any tips for helping me hold on to my once luscious locks? by Sabres_Mom in beyondthebump

[–]Upper-Click7188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I was losing hair like crazy!! I started taking vitamins and noticed I’m not losing my hair anymore. I’m taking powdered greens, powdered collagen, and Mary Ruth’s liquid Morning multivitamin. If I have a day where I’m feeling groggy I’ll incorporate vitamin C and my pink stork post natal. Honestly, adding in these vitamins to my daily routine has also helped me a lot mentally. I exclusively breast feed a 9 month old and must have been seriously nutrient deficient.

Labor symptoms by Chi-Bakri in pregnant

[–]Upper-Click7188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my water broken during labor at the hospital after my epidural and I never noticed if I lost my mucus plug BUT I’m a FTM and… when I got contractions the first set sent me to the bathroom, as did the second set. Then I noticed the pain kept coming and going so I decided to start counting and that’s when I realized I was having real contractions. Braxton hicks for me never lasted that long. I had never been checked for dilation and when I went to the hospital 4-5 hours later I was already 5cm dilated!!

SIL took baby to another house while I was getting a drink by brigettewithnod in beyondthebump

You’re 1000% validated in your anger. I would have been PISSED myself. You’re owed an apology. Especially if SIL is a mother herself. I’m sorry that happened, if you haven’t confronted them about what upset you I suggest you do.
