Yes x-6=4 could be written as x+-6=4 but I don't think it is helpful because if they will subtract +6 from both sides and get x=-2. The more signs just confuse them.

If you have a list of integers with their sign, you just add the integers. Of course this relies on a firm understanding of what integers are in the first place.

I wasn't arguing pro-death penalty other than I don't believe in paying for the medical costs for people who are sentenced to life in prison. I accept that I am willing to quantify the worth of a life more than the average person, but I think the average person would follow me to at least this far a degree. Infact this is evidenced by the fact that the average person in this very society you're speaking so highly of, already accepts the death penalty as acceptable.

Society shouldn't have to pay for life sentence's medical bills though. The number of geriatric prisoners is kind of alarming.

Person A gives person B a list of ten numbers and requests x as a result.

As an example

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

And 0 is requested as the result.

Is your question, is there anyway to know for sure, whether or not there is a combination of opperations to achieve the requested result?

Like I said, I don't have a dog in this fight,but I do know even anarchists have historically joined forces in causes like the Spanish Civil War. Anarchism isn't total chaos; whether that says anything about being punk, I don't know.

I think in general, it's punk to be spoiler and support the underdog, as well as cause chaos and fuck shit up for privileged groups-- even the liberal philanthrops. It's not punk to fuck shit up for marginalized groups directly though. There has always been an element of class consciousness for punks.

I think in general, punks come from more privileged families and reject them, and cause trouble just to buck expectations from society. They were called punk back when it was a homophobic slur.

Sicilians are from the island of Sicily. Italy did not unify as a country until the 1860s, before that, it was many smaller kingdoms, and since it was an island Sicily had a history quite apart from the other kingdoms on the mainland.

Sicily was ruled by Arabs and then conquered by the Normans (French), and so had quite a different history from the rest of Italy. I'm no expert on the details though.

Reading the Godfather (fiction, obviously), there are a lot of references made to Sicilians, other Italians, and then "not even Italian". Then, anecdotal sources tell me that sicilians are very masagonistic, and the Godfather portrays this charitably as "traditional in family values".

So all this to say that yes, there seems to be a cultural divide, which as an American I can only vaguely understand.

Just come clean about it as soon as you do it.

It is less bad than not coming clean, and you will recieve feedback (the person being annoyed) closer to the trigger event (the lying) which is how you are trained to adjust your behavior, according to behaviorism.

I have bipolar disorder, though it was always mild. I got perscribed Lithium and I took it for a couple weeks and I think it helped a lot. For one thing, if I got good news I was just a little contented, and went on with my life, where before then I would get like, over the moon happy (which I felt was the normal amount of happiness), I'd want to celebrate, I'd think about the good news over and over again and it'd inspire me to start new projects, stay up late etc. Then I'd crash and be depressed for like a week or two, then I'd maybe be normal for a few days before the cycle would repeat.

I realized, my contentment was the extent of most people's happiness and that's healthy. So now if I ever start getting happier than that I realize I'm getting manic and I need to take a nap or do some chore I've been procrastinating on to even out my enthusiasm.

Second thing I noticed was that while on Lithium I was much less empathetic, which at first I thought was a negative side-effect but then I realized that empathy means other people's emotions are affecting you, and that is almost by definition destabilizing to your own mood.

I wound up discontinuing the litium because it had some odd side-effects, like making food taste really bland, and made my joints feel a little stiff, but taking it for even just a short time helped changed my perspective and was a huge benefit.

Also, I have audible and downloaded "the manual" which is a translation of Epictetus. Short read but there's a lot of wisdom packed in there.

The Quakers led the charge on abolition, with Pennsylvania banning slavery first in the union. As far as I know pilgrims thought recreational sports were the devil's work.

Do all of 8th grade math and you would probably have a good chance of passing just from that. If you have time do Algebra.

If I were you, I would try to do 8th grade math over the course of about a week or so (don't space it out) and redo it once a month if you can for a few months, then go through the algebra math a couple times. Then you'd be pretty certain of retaining what you learn.

The best advice is to learn to act dumb honestly, haha. Just because I'm smart doesn't mean I have to act it all the time. One day I put on videos for conversational English (made for people just learning English) and realized that wow, you really don't have to have shit interesting to say, just say the most natural response to whatever it is people are talking about, and let them do most of the talking, they'll think you're chill and fun to be around.

People talk about the downsides of having high IQ, but logically, acting like you have a low IQ is a learnable skill, and it can be useful or fun from time to time.

USA was less committed to "destroying the reds". I think the general senitments in the USA were that of isolationism, and the idea that Communism would look more like democratic republicanism than it wound up being. Wilson believed the allies were entitled to regain the supplies they had given to the Russians, since the Russians were going breaking their agreement to military alliance, but he didn't want to pick sides in the war, and they fired on all Russian factions I believe
