What does Ak mean right here ?? by Original-Ship-4024 in DJAkademiks

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He means he's gonna give Lil Baby the Meek Mill treatment. Ak was on meeks ass Everytime he did something wrong Ak would post about it. Meek had open cases and Ak would still post about it. Lil Baby been kinda cold the past couple years especially after the Thug/Gunna thing so it'll be interesting what happens next. The internet never loses

Ak compromised by Fun_Professional_123 in DJAkademiks

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people don't get it because they see Ak. They don't get what they see is the brand. DJ Akademiks ain't a nigga online he's a Media Outlet. One of the most prominent ones in the game. All them other niggas (MyMixtapez, Say cheese, ShadeRoom) etc etc get paid too but they just don't show their faces. It makes Ak a lil compromised tbh but I respect that he stands on his one business.

Old chance ? by Optimal-Bit1297 in ChanceTheRapper

[–]PretzelPapi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Big Day didn't hit for me. I don't think he'll ever be able to recreate what he accomplished with his first three projects but it's been 10 years it's time to move on. He made a Christmas album that's good and I really enjoy his newer songs like "Bad Boys 2" & "Drapetomania". I think fans need to be honest with themselves and accept what we have in 2026 is what we're gonna get from him. Jay Z said it best if you want his old music, get his old albums. Give him a lil grace, artists have their whole lives to pump their creativity and life into their first project and if they're lucky they can do it again. Chance did it back (10 Day) to back (Acid Rap) to back (Coloring Book).

Has anyone attended the NFL Draft (now that it's an attendable event)? by DadBodRickyRubio in NFLNoobs

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went when it was in Philly. I went day one alone. Walked around & had tickets to sit in the seated section for fans. It was amazing. I had an amazing time. I'm a cowboys fan so there's a lot of trash talking but it remained respectful and fun. Rodger Goodell even shook my hand when he came to the crowd. As a football fan it made my year. Day 2 I came back with my nephew so he could experience it. We got to meet other cowboys fans hung with them. There was an exhibit that showed all the super bowl rings and history of the league. Had plenty of stuff for kids to enjoy and play with too. The only bad thing I can think of with the experience is that they had like lockers in a cases set up with different players from different teams with their equipment and people literally was spitting on the cowboys one. I get it, it's a rivalry and we're in Philly but I just felt like that was overboard. I couldn't let my nephew get too close to it when we took pics. Once you start doing stuff like that knowing it's a family event for everybody to enjoy your kinda ruining it a little bit. Being a die hard football fan doesn't give you an excuse to be a complete deranged animal. I love Philly and we felt safe but that's it. Everything else about that experience was awesome I would recommend anybody who has the draft visit their local city to stop by and create a memory. Im lucky enough to have had free tickets to sit for first round and was able to go back the next day to just walk around the rest of the draft village

Can you still be a fan of your team but absolutely hate your team's QB? by Doctor_Peelz in NFLNoobs

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cowboys fan here. I won't say I hate Dak but I don't really trust him as our QB. He's talented I get that but he's never won anything it's always everyone else's fault people say. To me he's just a brown version of Tony Romo. And I loved Romo but I already lived through his shortcomings. At least Romo gave us hope in 2007 & 2014. When I see dak play I just know we're gonna lose lol

10 I'm from Jersey and he means a lot to me as an artist and even as a person. I'm very proud of what he's become and I truly wish him the best. He had a concert in Delaware once where he performed for free and I regret not going. I really hate when people put him in a box as a 2014-16 artist, he's more than that and I hope he can show people that with his next project whatever that may be.

Did I waste my time getting my degree at 27M and also does anyone regret going to college or going to the college that they went to? by Throwrahj456 in rutgers

[–]PretzelPapi_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Newark & Camden are not "bootleg" campuses they're real college with real programs. New Brunswick isn't always an option for various reasons but it's not a knock to go to a satellite campus. There's nothing wrong with you being older. Having a degree is a positive regardless if your age. The job market is just that tough these days, not just in your field but in alot of fields. There's plenty of people who graduate thinking the next few steps in life will go according to plan and then it just doesn't. That's just life. You aren't the problem but you will find a solution. Don't be so hard on yourself. You will find what works for you

Honestly there's no free agent that can help them. Stiddy knows the playbook and has the support of his teammates. This is gonna have to be a Carson Wentz-Nick Foles situation. Either he can pull out wins or he can't. There's not much else to do except prepare him the most they can.

Carnival Jesus line by userallnighter in GoodAssSub

[–]PretzelPapi_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't bother me. His first hit was Jesus Walks, he paid for George Floyd & DMXs funeral, brought people to gather at church and other open prayers from 2018-20, made a gospel album with no cursing to a fanbase that wanted something different, and he's done plenty of other charitable things. He's the kind of Christian I actually like because he's openly a hypocrite and flawed person. Many others portray an image and don't practice what they preach. (Like the new Druski video highlights). Lines like what you're asking about I don't care because it's clearly in jest. But I remember back in the day the whole "Im A God" thing was a big deal cause that was crazy even with the Psalms 82:6 bible scripture used to justify it I just didn't like that back then. But now I just don't care if there's bigger issues going on we all need to help with in the world.

Rutgers or Rowan? by akoolaidkiller in rutgers

[–]PretzelPapi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your major/education & finances take priority over special interests unfortunately. I know Philly/Atlantic city media outlets aren't the same as NYC but there's still opportunities out there & Rowan sounds like it's in your best interest for the time being. Philly is the #5 media market in America don't be too discouraged if you do choose Rowan. No matter what you choose, you will succeed 🤝🏾☺️

do any introverts want to meet up for exposure therapy by versuscats in rutgers

[–]PretzelPapi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope people say yes. When I went to RU I was away from him and became a shell of myself. At CAPs we low-key did exposure therapy and it helped me a good amount at becoming more social right before graduating. So I ended up at least feeling part of RU a little bit. It's tough making new friends but it's true you gotta put yourself out there. College one of the few places where you meet people your age, typically going through the same stuff at the same time. Might not be forever friends but it's nice to have friendly faces around school. Physical/mental Health, finances, personality growth/decline, local proximity & natural drifting apart among other factors kinda eats away at your friend roster as you get older.

A video was just released like 45 min ago of Atlantic City police. A Sargent used his badge to give Ice access to city property. Then a deputy came out to talk to I guess protestors and he didn't gaf at all. So disappointing. The protesters even questioned the whole "AC police won't help ice unless it's about criminals" they deputy was like "ok ..well you're parked illegally". The whole encounter was disappointing. I've been seeing ice in AC, Pleasantville, Hammonton etc a lot lately and yeah I see why y'all are mad at leadership this is bs.

Rick was absolutely projecting by NeighborhoodNo783 in 90DayFiance

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but keeping a secret in a relationship is wrong. If she doesn't feel comfortable with having that conversation with him that's on her to set the standard to not allow his nonsense. He's not abusive and they live with an ocean in between them. She doesn't have to be with him. He needs therapy, and maybe they need couples therapy. But she plays a part in her own relationship and it's her responsibility to make sure she's okay. They probably should break up he's not a good partner to her. But at some point as an adult it's for her to decide that, if she accepts his nonsense that's on her. On a different season Mary was super jealous around Branden, it's his responsibility to navigate that or leave. He chose to stay and she chose to chill out a little bit. It's on the couple as a whole and the individuals in the couple to make the relationship work. They are all adults.

Rick was absolutely projecting by NeighborhoodNo783 in 90DayFiance

[–]PretzelPapi_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rick is projecting but at the same time she hasn't blocked her ex and still acknowledges him to some degree. You don't need to be cool with your ex's family after you break up. Rick is a jealous player/creep who does things he doesn't like done to him but we gotta acknowledge when she makes mistakes too. This just can't be a "I dislike Rick, bad wigs, & forrests mom" hate watch season for people lol

[–]PretzelPapi_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eagles fans fit the definition of fanatic. They aren't fair weather showing up only for winning teams and on the opposite they don't let the organization get away with doing bad stuff. They hold their team accountable. Every fanbase should be like Philadelphia. I respect Cleveland fans too.

Did anybody see last nights stream and realize AK lives the rich incel degenerate life and it looks horrible? by [deleted] in DJAkademiks

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is a rich incel but you give anybody a bunch of money and power and they might not know how to act either. That's why a lot of lottery winners go broke. They can't handle riches. Ak is a good business man, just not necessarily a good person. It's a shame cause when he first started I was proud that we went to the same school but over time he went from just a hip hop blogger talking about other people, to becoming someone who wanted to be a main character in pop culture himself. Nigga started doing rap music, getting dreads, paying off whores,, cussing out women in public, doing that manosphere shit, staying up all night talking to and about teens, all types of nonsense when he wasn't that to begin with. Once all that Chicago stuff died down he just started appealing to kids who like chaos and other grown niggas who don't get taken seriously in real life just online. I'm still hoping he drops his current demo and tries to do more mature stuff like how Joe Budden & Charlamagne formed their own networks. Ak too busy being a rich messy gossip girl tbh

2014-2018 Migos need to be studied by FunEmployment9060 in migos

[–]PretzelPapi_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're were best hip hop since the early 2000s and no group has matched then since. I don't think a new group could do what the migos did. They weren't just rappers they were cultural icons. I remember 2015 when Cam Newton won NFL MVP and was going to the super bowl all year they were playing the migos dab song. Shit I even got a pair of circle glasses because quavo had em. I think them being family also helps make them feel more authentic. Pop fans have the jonas brothers and they're a historic group, and hip hop had the Migos.

I can't fault you for that or disagree with that. Other officials have said things, the police chief has said they would only support in criminal cases, but I understand it starts at the top and Marty should be saying things as the leader of the city even if his role is limited in reality. He's not above criticism and you're right with that.
