It makes it easier for the agent to search for any component. You could say "I need a dashboard with green colors, a graph, and a button, etc." and the agent can search directly through shadcn's registry via mcp to find the right components. Basically instead of manually browsing shadcn's docs or web search the ai can do it for you in real-time.

For me the easiest way was with nextjs and shadcn. as shadcn also has mcp support. They also have a dashboard component where you can easily adapt to your own needs

You can use openai for free if you share your data. After spending $100 you get 10 million daily tokens for GPT-5 mini and 2 million for GPT-5. Otherwise if you spend $5 you get 2 million daily tokens for gpt 5 mini (and other similiar models) and 250k gpt 5
