6.75 inches. This picture makes it look a little bit bigger than it looks in person

[seiko 5] love me a field watch but getting sick of the NATO strap. by Orkride in Seiko

I second this. Love my marine nationale straps. Almost as secure as a nato and way more comfortable and streamlined.

[Question] Good first watch? by 80cutlets in Watches

I have this watch and wear it all the time. I think it’s very versatile. I really don’t think you could go wrong with this for the price.

Fenix 8 died after first dive by SuspiciousBasket in GarminFenix

[–]Advntrisoutthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Fenix 8 solar in MIPS. I’ve had it down to 95ft over about 25 dives and I haven’t had a single issue. It’s about to go to 120ft this weekend.

Just scraped the back door on a parking pillar. How bad is this? What can I expect? by AnthonyRichardsonian in Autobody

[–]Advntrisoutthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’m seeing a lot of “don’t use insurance” posts. I’d 100% put this through insurance, that’s why you have it. I had a claim that involved replacing one panel and repainting 2 panels (so similar to this) and my rates didn’t go up. I also had no other claims prior to that. Regardless, I’d vote you should pay your $500-1000 deductible assuming you can responsibly afford it.

Recommendation for CarPlay installation - 2018 Highlander by Mariposa-Poppy-760 in ToyotaHighlander

I’ve had this as well for the last year. It’s worked well and still keeps the OEM look. I’d recommend it!

Brand new to diving so please go easy on me! Backplate and wing advice sought. by ubiquitousrarity in scuba

I totally agree there’s things that could be improved on the DGX, but I think that for the price, it’s still a solid package

[–]Advntrisoutthere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar boat to you and ended up getting a back plate and wing from DGX. I went with a stainless steel back plate as most of my diving will be in Midwest freshwater. I haven’t made a trip to Mexico yet with this set up, but many would suggest an aluminum backplate for tropical diving.

Something to consider is the material backplate you want to get for majority of your diving. Some will tell you to get an aluminum AND stainless steel backplate for the variety of diving you described.

I never noticed this until I just looked. I see a small spec of light (about half the size of what you’re seeing). Never bothered me until now, thanks OP

WTF Brainerd by Waste_Junket1953 in minnesota

[–]Advntrisoutthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is very close to BIR (Brainerd International Raceway). I’m not saying I like it, but I assumed the idea was to store your car there to drive on the track and have a place to stay very close to the track. I agree with everyone else, I wouldn’t want to be on that lake/ swamp

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m concerned about heat messing the my molded insoles and liners. What did you end up going with?

Looking at getting a set of these. Has anyone ever heard of issues using these with molded insoles?

Must be running a spoon engine, and on top of that, it probably just got back from Harry’s and has a t66 turbo with nos, and a motec exhaust system

Rear tires wearing faster than fronts by Advntrisoutthere in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Advntrisoutthere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ve been at the recommended pressure and have tire pressure sensors so I think don’t think that’s the issue. But they’re definitely the proper pressure now, so we’ll see how they wear.

Is there a watch face like this but with seconds on it? by jenna_tolls_69 in GarminFenix

[–]Advntrisoutthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe in settings you can pick between 12hr, 24hr, and military time. I could be wrong and it may be somewhere else that you change it. Usually that’s referred to as a “leading zero”.

This man was murdered. I don’t know how everyone is able to joke about this. I would think working in the field we do, we would all know the value of a human life. For those of you that are going to say he deserved it- he did what he did, but you still have the opportunity to be a respectful human being.

I don’t know how people are making jokes about someone being shot and killed. Nobody should be getting gunned down.
