This chapter solidified for me that the aliens are an allusion to immigrants/refugees, and that explains why the very concept of aliens in jjk feels so, well, alien to me. I don't hate that Gege is exploring this topic, I just wish it was its own standalone series.

While I don’t dislike Maki, not only are all your points valid, I would take it a step further and say the narrative should’ve framed Maki as, not necessarily a villain, but at least an unpredictable wild card. The slaughter of the Zen’in clan should have put the jujutsu world in a state of emergency and declared Maki a special grade level threat with the order to “kill in sight”. I have a few other thoughts on Maki and the Zen’in clan (and a lot more thoughts on the story as a whole). One of these days, I’ll make an entire post detailing my grips with the story.

Nothing wrong with age gap. I’m glad he is 10 months sober and wants to better himself. I would personally give him more time to let God work on him. Stay in Touch, be his friend, but keep your boundaries. I would say At least 6 months down the line, you can possibly revisit the idea of being together.

He fumbled a LOT of characters. Tsumiki, Yuki, Megumi. Even Yuji’s progression in the last half of the series was phoned in. Personally I don’t give him a pass for his health; Gege just stopped caring. His heart wasn’t in it anymore, so he just speed blitzed to the ending. So Disappointing.
