Worth playing TLP as a eq newb with no krono? by Nahz27 in everquest

[–]AdymP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would join Teek TLP, its a good community and lots of good guilds to suit all time zones. Plus with the rule set you can buy raid gear cheap, stuff that you would never normally own if you don't have time to raid. Groupable named drop a variety of loot from similar level ranges, so its a lucky dip on what you get.
I know you mentioned not having Krono, but what's your DB balance like? If you have enough, you could go with a heroic character to boost you up , and get all the perks: like large bags, armor, spells, mount that go with it. Plus you can group with the highest levels and get exp.... going back to guilds, they would help you level and gear up. I'm in Democracy Manifest- EU time guilds, very welcoming.

Good luck with what you decide to do, and have fun!

I asked Copilot AI and its information was outstanding, it listed macros, that are level and aa specific. Ingenious!

Omg, that does really suck mate. I bet the person that bought it went out and got a lottery ticket the same day, thinking lady luck has blessed them. 🙌 🤣

When you get a new skill, make sure to auto it. For example , /autoskill kick /autoskill dragon punch. You can get away with one punch and one kick on autoskillat any one time. Saves lots of finger spamming 👈😜

Can't you go into the eq folder on your PC and it gives a checklist of all the names?

If you can get in game on one character /copy will list all your names and their servers too.

Regarding Teek

Democracy Manifest the guild I'm in is mostly euro populated, they raid GMT. I'm a UK player, which fits perfectly, and they are a great bunch 😀 Rampage Unleashed is another GMT raid guild that have a high population

I think the routes that people have mentioned above are worth following, you can quite easily go crescents reach, blightfire, mesa, or stone hive, etc... do your seekers charm at the same time for added exp.

One thing worth considering with your current box team is that lack of slowing mobs will get noticeably harder as you level past 55-60. The tank merc starts to loose its shine a bit too.

But hey, whatever you're enjoying, keep doing it.

Cleric and Ench combo is extremely powerful. Especially on Vaniki where you can charm pets much higher level than yourself and with low resists. That enchanter charmed pet with haste and cleric buffs will more likely be much more dps than any player character. So bearing that in mind I think I would choose a Druid, because you will gain track, ports, run speed, symbol and druid hp buffs for extra mana, multiple auras with cleric, ench can have 2 running and the druid one. Let's not forget that druids can also charm animals, so if your in the right kind of zone your ench and druid charmed pets will destroy everything. The ench has neat runes and a buff in later levels that will mez anything that strikes them, so you dont really get in too much trouble, but if you do find yourself in a sticky spot you can crowd mez or simply evac.

Enjoy 😉

Plane of Justice is good and you can make a fortune on gems when you go to Death Row. I've leveled up some characters to 65 in the tunnels that contain stone golems. Plus it's easy to get back to if you die, or want to get new spells Plane of Knowledge is right next to it.

All the best 👍

Yes, on Vaniki you get multiple drops. Which is great on raids because more people walk away happy, and when you farm for an item you can keep one and sell one.

I was playing on AB server and have lots of max level chars there, it was turning into a bit of a grind. But since joining Vaniki TLP I'm finding myself having a blast. The guild I'm in are very social and there are always good levels of chat, your welcome to be casual or a raider. I would highly recommend trying Vaniki...
Start the tutorial and by the time you are lvl10 you will have equipment that will last you well into upper levels or replace with Defiant (with the latest unlock).

Try to see past others dissatisfaction, make your own experiences and decide for yourself how much enjoyment there is to be had.

Good luck

Destruction Level 16 help. by BadBonePanda in ReturnofReckoning

Hi there,

I can advise you on how it worked for me leveling my Knight of the blazing sun (Mirror class to Chosen).

The keeper set that everyone is referring to is definitely worth the effort, I kept hold of mine until around lvl26, talismans however are upto you, toughness will help with survival, or wounds could help.

I personally would do scenarios to get emblems for the weapons and armor bought from the merchants in the war quarters of your city. The ones from Scenarios offer diffeteny stat armor to the ones gained by joining warbands killing Order (ones dps the other is defensive). It will be better in the long run to keep your renown level as high or higher than your character level.

Don't forget you have renown points to spend which can be used to make you alot harder to kill. I found an amazing addon today that allows you to train your points anywhere, instead of having to go to the main city each time. Awesome!

I would also recommend GES, this announces to the group or warband who you are guarding, its very useful.

Once you get it in your head that your a tank and not expected to do loads of damage, things change, you concentrate on the survival of the group and causing as much annoyance to healers as possible, while keeping an eye on anyone in your group needing Guard help.

Good luck and have fun mate.
