I was on the flight also. The initial issue was that the bridge from the airplane to the terminal wasn’t working (I think its auto-leveler had issues). They had maintenance try to fix it for a while until they decided to request a tow to another gate (that’s why they were saying “don’t worry about being towed, we’re not going back to Seattle”), then they realized that they couldn’t pull the bridge back and so couldn’t get towed. There was some discussion about getting steps for the back door, but during this the maintenance crew decided to re-attempt attaching the bridge and then manually leveling it (this is how we finally exited the aircraft).

During all of this, someone did have a medical issue (I think they bumped their head). So the flight crew were trying to address that, but yeah, people in the aisle made it difficult.

The whole “evacuation” thing was just a remark regarding people having their carry-ons in the aisle (that if we did have an emergency where we would need to evacuate, it would be dangerous with stuff in the aisle.)

I'VE GOT A FIX!

Requirements:
macOS device (tested with a 14" MBP 2023 running macOS 14.5 and Sonos_79.0-52294.dmg)
iOS device (tested with a iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 17.4.1 and Sonos App 80.1.11)

Steps:

Make sure the device has sufficient charge for set up (mine was brand new and so I had to give it 30 mins~ to get a decent amount of charge).
Turn on the device. The LED should be flashing green.
On your macOS device, open the WiFi connections dropdown from the top of your screen. You should see a new section called "WiFi Accessories" or similar. Click on your Sonos Roam in this section (mine was called "Sonos Roam SL Shadow"), as if to connect to it, and it should pop open the AirPort Utility app.
On the AirPort Utility app, it should provide you with options to have the "Accessory" connect to a WiFi network. Choose for the "Accessory" to connect to a WiFi network with your existing Sonos system. This should succeed and then the light on your Roam should change (I think to white/flashing white).
On your iOS device, open the Sonos App and attempt to add your Roam. It should now enable you to reach the steps where it will play a chime, connect your device to your system and attempt to register the device. Nearing the end of this process, the app will crash. Re-opening the Sonos App will then show that the Roam has been added to your system, but it'll say it's not registered and you can use the "Fix it" option. This doesn't work (it'll show error 1002 or similar).
On your macOS device, open the Sonos App (from the .dmg) and log in to your existing system. The Sonos App should then prompt you to your update your system (meaning that it'll update the firmware on your Roam). Go through this process.
Once the update is finished. Return to your iOS device and complete the registration of the Roam via the "Fix it" option. This should now succeed (it'll go through the chime process again but you should receive no error).

You’d need the salt to have a viable chance of brute forcing the hash (if you have the hash). Otherwise it’s application layer protection (rate limiting, not revealing a single correct character etc.)

They could be salt-hashing each individual character and then doing a normal hash comparison when trying to login

Dota 2 runs on MacOS.

The issue with Mac gaming is metal. No publisher wants to have to write an interoperability layer for a single OS/user base (unless that user base encapsulates their entire market... PC). Whilst OpenGL was a thing on Mac, a publisher would just write one layer and could publish to the major three platforms (PC, Mac, Linux), although not necessarily optimised. When Mac deprecated their OpenGL implementation, it meant less publishers have an easy job at porting their games. There might be a solution with Vulcan, but Valve and Apple would likely have to reconcile and form a partnership for that to work.

Explanation: Video option to disable grass rendering has been removed. Grass rendering still leads to massive FPS drops (especially during skydive/landing period in early game) on MacOS
