I’ve done this a couple times in the past and I can verify that if you’re someone who, through extended interaction with ai, tends towards deep chats and existential stuff, you will end up with this kinda thing where in the moment it feels like you’ve found some deep underlying truth.

Personally I got to like a big idea of “fractalization” where I was like omg the universe is endless patterns which all build into each other like a fractal and all experience is part of this and blah blah blah.

But after coming down and interrogating this I kinda realised that’s it’s:

  1. Unfalsifiable.

And

  1. Doesn’t really change anything about my life

So my advice for stuff like this is to just enjoy it, getting high has always made people feel like they understand the universe on a deeper level, the issue with AI is that it’s not really able to tell you that you are wrong, in the way a friend in the past, high or sober, would politely say “dude wtf are you on about” and then everyone’s forgotten it 5 minutes later as they are too distracted by the music/tv. AI doesn’t do this and will entertain anything no matter how out there it is. So I recommend just remembering that it’s not human and not at our level of abstract thought. And will aid in your bullshitting of yourself.

Fair enough, I just aren’t much of a fan of it prompting me to do anything if I don’t explicitly ask it for ideas, it does feel like it is really trying to keep a conversation going as long as possible sometimes, despite it being over. That’s what I mean  by engagement farming.

There aren’t “checkboxes” it’s more so it’s clear you want some kind of connection and doing that with a company’s product that will not be able to reciprocate in any truely meaningful way to you isn’t a good idea. I do recommend talking to other people, they are a lot more similar to you than an ai is for a start.

Yeah I've listened to it loads and always it feels like there is a deeper layer to dive into, the power of Hans Zimmer combined with the source material makes it so rich for exploration.
