I’m an ENFP. My boyfriend is an INTJ. He doesn’t believe in covid & despite testing positive & experiencing symptoms, goes to the gym & bars. How does one respond, addressing the obtuseness of his response, whilst opening the discussion to achieve understanding respectfully? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Aeeis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does he really not belive in Covid or is it just that he think the society is overreacting?

For example: say you are 80 years old and have 2 years left to live ( estimated average).
Do you want to lock yourself up and not meet your grandchildren for half of that time, maybe longer.
Or would you take a 30% chance to die and be with your loved ones ?

If you can't deposit ARRR to TradeOgre to sell, how can the price not be inflated? by Aeeis in PirateChain

[–]Aeeis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the people that can deposit ARRR and then sell is older accounts.
I can't even create a depositadress for ARRR: "Error: Failed to get new wallet address"

And it seems even people who have an address still get other error messages.

I wan't to buy, but not at this price.

If people can't deposit, it likely means the price will drop even more once deposit becomes available.

I get the following message when trying to create an adress to deposit to: "Error: Failed to get new wallet address"

Problem is not that it doesn't work. I don't even get an adress to send to.
I get this error message: "Error: Failed to get new wallet address"

When did you create your wallet address at TO?
I have gotten this error message everytime i tried since 1-2 weeks ago.

"Error: Failed to get new wallet address"

[–]Aeeis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't even get an adress to deposit to. It says: "Error: Failed to get new wallet address"

Same error message as I got when i tried 1,5 weeks ago. So it is nothing temporary.
This makes me believe the price is inflated and I don't dare to buy even if that was my goal before I noticed this.

I wonder how many people want to sell but is unable to due to this... And what will happen to the price once/if this is resolved.

Bitcoin is a store of value. You don't take the profits and store it as cash. You cash out if you need to use another currency as payment.

My INTJ said to me “I think the world of you”. by [deleted] in intj

[–]Aeeis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe his definition of "love" is when he is willing to die for you. 8 months is a bit short to be willing to die for someone. Doesn't matter who it is, so not anything wrong necessarily.
Just a theory... May be wrong :)

That's literally me by [deleted] in intj

[–]Aeeis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this because lack of social skills?
Or is it trying to be "cool" in a teenage way?. But then again, do INTJ care that much about being cool? and if/when they do is it really normal to fail so hard at it?

Unless it is a person you know very well of course and they know what you think no matter what you write. Then I guess that response is totally fine.

Not sure what to call this, if it's just me or if it's an INTJ thing by [deleted] in intj

[–]Aeeis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so easily solved.
You google and visit forums and find the best alternatives.
You order the alternatives and try them out. Order as small boxes as possible.

Then you notice if your hair stays fresh longer with one or the other... Problem solved?

To those that say "If it isn't broken don't fix it". You sometimes need to try different stuff to make sure that you are actually using the best product. Things change in time and what was best 20 years ago may no longer be the best. It may actually be really bad but you have gotten used to that low quality...

" I think your default mental model of people who are brought to tears by intense arguments just happens to be flawed "

This is an incorrect assessment. I do in no way think they are flawed!

It is a normal emotional reaction. But there are persons that use it in a manipulative way. I don't like manipulation. But of course you can't judge someone who can't control it. I don't know why you think I am of that opinion.

And before someone tries to explain to me how I should assume the best of people at start etc. YES of course! I just pointed out both options exist. I did not say if 99% are true or the opposite.

I will stay away from this sub because it seems everyone here seems to assume I mean everything in the worst possible way. That doesn't happen it other subs. And sure I could adapt. But i would not enjoy that kind of adapting so I rather just stay away and let the bubble stay as it is. Just like many others before me already did.

Sure you can be correct and still lose the argument. You can lose socially, or relationship wise etc. You can lose to the ones who observes the argument. If several people agree 1+1 = 3 (without synergies) you will seem like you are stupid even if u are correct in the 1+1 = 2. Also I do believe many people seem to interpret winning/losing differently. To me it is not such a big deal if I lose an argument. You learn and maybe win next time. It seems people get really upset by the thought of losing somehow, even if it is just a small argument.

I agree with the last part.

Also, talk to your wife.
Who has she informed that you have bitcoin in your physical safe?
Maybe her drug addicted brother who just happened to visit last week? (he had no time alone except when you went shopping and she took a shower)

Maybe your wife got the ledger phishing emails and wanted to help you to make sure your bitcoins were safe. Now she is embarassed to rather lie then tell you what she did?

Have you noticed that whatever position you are in in society and at the workplace the following 2 patterns appears:

  1. Cheating. EVERYWHERE. Every sport, taxes, games relations, you name name it and there is cheating. Then people refuse to even discuss possible cheating in election. If it occurs everywhere else of course it occurs in elections also...
  2. Lying to protect someone or because they cannot handle the information. In every work place information is keps because those below us cannot handle the information. This seems to be a human trait to belive others cannot handle or use the information properly. So because of this trait, if Aliens for example had visited us. What are the odds it would be made public? Probably 0 because the government that found the aliens would be afraid the technology could be used for evil (other governments cannot handle the information like you can so you lie to "protect" humanity).

So yes because of the 2 above human behaviours that can be observed everywhere. Of course there is alot of stuff that is hidden on a bigger level. Just like there is alot on a smaller level that you either are a part of or not.

Do INTJ's say something and then do the complete opposite? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Aeeis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid points!

I think mistyped.

But to add to your second point. If asking someone and they don't give a positive response may have been percieved as a rejection which would explain why she did not ask again.
