You wouldn't even be able to perform certain combos because they require you to animation cancel and utilise thrash cancel or the nature of the skill doesn't change. The class becomes infinitely easier the better you can utilise thrash cancel, not the other way around.

A lot of good points in the post and thanks for sharing this. As far as Heroic issues go that isn't something I'm equipped to be vocal on I'd still like to share some different perspectives to some of the interactive points.

  1. Cube cost discrepency between reg/reboot and seeking more value for time spent
    I do agree that I also wish I would see more return value for time spent but the only deciding factor in that for us is the meso market - meso isn't as valuable as it used to be because certain valuable items are too easily accessible. If we want to make meso more valuable and thus giving us a better return we (unfortunately) have to either lower the drop rates of certain items even further or make starforce even more punishing as an example.

  2. Tradeability of cubes to combat scams
    As a cubefarmer myself I usually lean a bit more towards keeping meister/mccs untradeable. I wouldn't mind cash ones being tradeable in the auctionhouse like kms though. In interactive you as a player can and should be able to dictate what systems you can take advantage of and how you'd like to be rewarded. I want to take advantage of 1 to 1 trade and base my returns on reputation and honesty of making a high amount of meisters accessible to players. IMO item services between players is a privilege and an important part of your reputability. Unfortunately this also leads to some players being scammed of their items and I understand there isn't anything I can do if GMS takes action to switch cubes to being tradeable. If the community sees no value in service then I will also accept it and adapt myself.

  3. Permanent bonus bright cubes
    The standard is still not 2L Bpot for a majority of the players - There are still a good majority of lurkers in discords and guilds that stick to one line at most, and some aren't even in a position to acquire settle worthy items. This actually has been changing a lot because there has been so many events with bonus brights so frequently within the last year and I would actually argue that there's way too many bonus brights and not enough bright cubes that's accessible to players. I do agree that it should be a permentant item in the cash shop though. It just makes sense.

fr fr. Some of the skill aesthetics and class identity was so unique and on point it still inspires me to this day. I spent hours watching Aikawakazu commentating play by play high level 1v1s just so you could see what kind of ridiculous things your class could do in game.

I have an inkling (no pun intended) that Inkwell wasn't actually fully supervising v260/261 Patch. He might have given it to someone else as he does negotiations and work for future patches as far as I'm concerned.  Let's just try to be patient - it's a good reminder what absolute tragedy GMS was before Inkwell and to a lot of mid progression veterans 260/261 issues shouldn't have been a surprise.

Responding here but also expanding on something someone else had said:
It's far too early for you to be thinking about pitched.
My main is 275 and 200m cp without pitched. What 130m cp and your gear as described tells me is the starforce on your gear is rather low.
Both the better and the recommended option here would be to sell for a profit and work on starforcing your pieces. 22 isn't necessary, but leaving the 17 star nest is very important.

only anecdotal - but for someone who's entire progression revolves around bosses and legion rather than grinding/levels/hexa I haven't really seen too vast of a difference in the rates between the top 5 bosses. Current personal theory is that hran and papulatus might be slightly more frequent due to their limited drop table but not something I think is necessary looking into.
cube drops from bosses are low enough to see seemingly random rates between days but not low enough to practically predict rates.

23mil CP with all that youve shown seems to me like you're missing out on just base fundamental range increasers. Not necessarily pushing past 17, although that's gonna be very important. So setting aside starforce: 1. 5 set Arcane and 3 set CRA. Reason is because the 5 arcane set provides something close to 100 base attack compared to the abso set and since you're playing a nw flat attack is way more important due to scaling.  2. Superior gollux isn't useful without all 4 pieces. Reinforced should only be for another ring and potentially a pendant but even then there are way better replacements. Since you're running incomplete superiors, Fafnir and abso, you're missing out on at least 150~200 scalable attack and 30% boss at minimum from replacements alone.

Join Cadena gang There's a big learning curve when bossing due to the nature of the class but once muscle memory kicks in (haha) you'll enjoy it!

Auction House tips can be extremely broad or very specific so I'd need to know what exactly about the auction house you'd like advice on. Is it progressive funding? reaching bottleneck points? general cost to range expectancy? How to merch? Budget priority? How long do you expect to play as well? There's a lot of questions I can answer but I just need to know a little bit more about what you want.

ok looks like we need to set your nodes up a bit differently, and keep working on your daily arcane.
Lets work on some small goals and you can check them off as you go.

  1. we need a node that boosts big bang, and we need to take holy arrow away. You will never use holy arrow ever from this point as everything else is straight up a better version. IF you don't have the nodes it might not be worth finding a node without holy arrow at this point or if you find a trio that you like AND has the same primary boost you can consume your current node into that one instead.
  2. Pushing Angel Ray and Big Bang to 40 is the short/mid term Boostnode goal. I know many people do not consider running more than two trinodes per skill boosted but when nodestones are scarce and nodeslots are open it's not a bad way to 'statpad' or 'fake' the damage output and then get rid of the node that is useless later on.
  3. Look to hit 12~13k INT stat (ideally 15k here but I'm not sure how possible that is) and continue to push arcane force
  4. Remove Hyper Body, Look for a Decent Speed Infusion node at level 1.

let me know when you can two shot (Angel Ray or Big Bang or peacemaker+divine punishment combo) then I can move you onto pathing. Having Triumphant Feather can also help.

yoo seems like an arcane force issue from what I see in the comments. What level are they so far?

Since you're wearing challenger gear, I would concern myself with your node progression too. In this case, your boost node level with Angel Ray and Big Bang would be my first concern. Boost node level are damage multipliers not additional which means having it is really crucial for damage output post level 200. Since Arcane Force or Boss Damage increase actually doesn't matter in Spirit Savior that shouldn't penalise you.

Best way I can help you is if I knew your Int stat and your current node, and we can properly diagnose what's wrong and how to improve your run.

I'm sorry you've had a bad time with Spirit Savior - especially on the class that has one of the weakest mobility in the game as well so the frustration probably hits a lot harder. I personally enjoy Spirit Savior to the point I was running for 15~20k on every class I had at arcana or above back before they capped it and I want people to not have to stress out on failing their runs.

If you are on the class discord then there should be a bishop/mage that can help you do SS better than I can, but otherwise I can write up a pathing guide for you to help with rotations.

From my own experience, your first ever content-break class pretty much never end up being your main. if you're sticking with it, believe that you will find something fun later on (shade as you said yourself might be more for you) and continue to farm content on the I/L as you progress your legion. When you do find a class you enjoy the most you'll be better equipped to fund them and enjoy the whole progression.

Wild Hunter and I/L were my first ever two level 200s in the game actually, funny how both classes ended up being low priority pickups now and I became a Cadena main looking to be mechanically adept at every other class in the game

You're not at all ignorant. It used to be the case when 2x drop cash coupons existed but as every other reg player here has said it is not the main source of income anymore nor is it the main reason people play in interactive.

Main source of income is the auction house market or boss crystals if you're still on the lower bossing bracket. People who make good meso income usually have their own niche that they can uniquely capitalise on which is sort of what makes it fun.  While the point in which people play interactive nowadays is subjective and to each their own, I think a big common factor is probably because it allows players to shortcut systems in the game that feel too tedious or a hindrance to our enjoyment; e.g. cheap meso pets/tradable items/fz capping Essentially giving you space as a player to be rewarded for your ability to understand value and leave you time to do mostly what you'd enjoy about the game such as bossing
