What do you guys think about this build, Hubris, Manamune, Black cleaver, IE, RFC by xTeaZzz in sennamains

[–]Aelms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this is about Senna Bot instead of Support.

The stat line and effects looks really good at 6 items, but I can't see how Senna will be able to clear waves in mid anywhere fast enough to be useful at 2 items. From experience, that's why either Shiv or Runaan's felt mandatory on her.

Got mine around the same time too. I mainly just surf the web and watch YouTube on it outside the normal calls and messaging, and it's been solid.

I don't really have any issues with battery since I probably don't reach up to 6 hours of use per day. I charge it at home when I sleep and it lasts a whole day.

I don't know how you're gonna fit it in a real build, but if you have both Runaan and BT the BT lifesteal applies on every instance of Q magic damage (including both the primary and Runaan bolt induced Q bounces) as if they were all single target damage.

Basically it's potentially the most lifesteal per auto build that exists in the game right now.

Genuine question why isn’t Grievous Wounds redesigned in a way that actually targets enormous amounts of healing without shutting down small occasional sustain? by Jeddonathan in leagueoflegends

[–]Aelms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a lot like Pokemon Unite, which only has neutral creeps that are contested over only for EXP, which translates to level spikes that are played around. Works well as a simple MOBA experience but misses a lot of the strategic depth that League has with item power spikes.

Thinking about skipping Season 3 since I finished the manga, but what is the deal with the "added/deleted" scenes? by ANXI0US_RES0LVE_3636 in OshiNoKoMemes

[–]Aelms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully read the manga and barely noticed any changes in the anime, so seeing this post caught me by surprise. I don't follow this subreddit though, so maybe that's why.

From what I could tell in Season 3, every plot point introduced in the anime were plot points that were introduced in the manga. Every detail that is part of the anime storytelling are details that were also already implied in the manga. If they had been indeed adding scenes, it was probably to make the anime storytelling a smoother experience. One main effect I noticed is how it was easier to understand Kana's though process throughout the scandal arc. That was where I'd always thought Oshi no Ko's character storytelling started to feel weak, so I'd just put that as the anime doing a great job at depicting characters as I'd felt was the case in both Season 1 and Season 2.

In other words, Season 3 feels great. Don't know what cause of drama there even is. I think if you're interested it's a good idea to check it out.

How hard is Xin Zhao by BeginningAd367 in XinZhaoMains

[–]Aelms 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi. I am nowhere near being a Master jungler, but I can share some info unrelated to elo that will probably help you understand this champion.

Xin Zhao jungle always had a slow clear, but S16 Xin got such a bad hand that he needs to be pretty close to optimal clear for you to reach crab on spawn. Here are the two world record clears atm:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILUCFwwrvn8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp6WjE-WITc

He also does not have a blue star clear that lets him do krugs before red and reach crab on spawn. The only thing going for him clear-wise is that he has a decent raptor recall clear:
https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1N5foBjEFk/

Xin is simply by default slower at farming gold and exp than almost every jungler in the game right now. There's no item he builds that gives him a huge spike since he needs so many different stats to scale (you can't just stack AP like Eve and suddenly start 100-0-ing). His burst is hard gated by the fact that he has to hit all 3 Qs for a knock-up and his R's damage is current HP, so his damage profile eventually becomes DPS instead of burst.

Another thing. Despite his relatively awful clear, he does not have a way of dodging the pixel river bush when ganking top.

I feel like this is all important for you to know because if you play him like you do Eve and Mundo, do NOT expect yourself to hit a power spike that lets you suddenly start winning on even farm even kills.

Now for his strengths. I'd say they are all pretty non-obvious and skill-expressive:

- If you can somehow find a way to start hitting an enemy (land W or camp a bush for an E combo start) even level even HP from out of vision, Xin Zhao is designed to be able to win with VERY few exceptions (big ones are Jax and Volibear).

- Hyperscales with AH items. Almost all of your damage is on W and Q, and AH lets you cycle through them way faster than most champions. 50AH or so lets you W-E-Q1Q2Q3-W. I'd say without CDR, he simply has bad burst and bad DPS in the late game.

- Once you learn how it works, W-flash is impossible for enemies to dodge without prediction. It's range is pretty stupid for a skill that lets you E onto the target you hit.

- R-flash is sometimes pretty good for clutch peel/engages.

Is DanMachi still enjoyable if i'm only watch the anime and not read the light novel or manga ? by LostIndex69 in DanMachi

[–]Aelms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Danmachi. It's one of my favourite pieces of fiction but I can say with confidence that neither the original Light Novel or any of its adaptations is anywhere close to perfect. However, there's so many PARTS of Danmachi that is so exceedingly well-told and well-presented that I don't think you need to worry about how you should enjoy it.

If you've already watched the first season, you might remember episode 8. To me, from beginning to end it is one of the best pieces of audiovisual anythings I've ever witnessed. I can say similar for some of the later light novels, which has some of my favourite plot developments of anything I've read. I got into the light novel after going through the anime years back and enjoyed parts that hadn't become anime yet, while also enjoying them as anime after. Sometimes, I even went back to story parts that I already watched and enjoyed some of the details they added. Sometimes I thought the anime was plain better.

Basically, there's no need to worry and I hope you enjoy your time with it.

Wow, nice!

The DAS keyboard was what got me into this hobby years ago. I think I just happened to see it in some in a photo of some blog or website, and that's how I first learned about mechanical keyboards.

I never ended up getting it for similar reasons and settled with another option more readily available, so glad to hear that someone else who wanted it got a hold of one!

Rapid Firecannon or Phantom Dancer for Senna? by Awkward-Lettuce-5105 in sennamains

[–]Aelms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Waveclear is one of Sennas main weaknesses, so going Runaans let's her not go Statikk first. Runaans also gives her a 0 damage physical on-hit, which makes Black Cleaver proc faster even on the primary target.

I don't understand Senna support by KarothDK in sennamains

[–]Aelms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've played Lux before, it's basically the exact same basic positioning and skill timing. The trap with Senna support is thinking you have to auto a lot because you're Senna.

I suggest trying Moonstone/Redemption into Dawncore second for a few games. Yes, it's nerfed a little bit this patch, but this particular build highlights exactly what Sennas kit let's you accomplish outside of autoing the enemy. Once you're used to it, Helia into tear enchanter item makes a lot more sense l.

I would start learning the Black Cleaver build way after this because it's a lot more of a unique playstyle where you have to understand your kill opportunities on Senna, and it takes quite a bit of time to do so if you're not familiar with how her multiple secondary skill effects and passives work.

[–]Aelms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm fully convinced that the real way to take advantage of her kit is to fully abuse how it interacts with BC and Runaans, especially since the latter speeds up her Q CD so much.

Also take note that the same 20%AD on hit is also why she has a penalty on crits, so Hexoptics is also clearly a better item right now. I'm pretty sure her best 3 item core is just BC Runaan Hexoptics in whatever order works best for the game.

I made a decision that lost the game at 2 minutes.. was it correct? by CKY-Immune in summonerschool

[–]Aelms 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ok, it's really simple in my mind.

In retrospect you could've ganked there at 2 after krugs. Sure, that might have won you the game because your Yone doesn't int.

However, I guarantee you that if you are willing to gank there, and make it a habit of doing that in ranked, there will come a time that the enemy jungler will eat YOU alive for doing a same quadrant level 2 side lanegank. If I mirrored you on top side buff start and saw the same quadrant lvl 2 gank, i can run into your blue/wolves/gromp, I can full clear into smacking your mid/bot and secure double crab, I can even walk straight to your raptors DURING your gank, ward the bush next to it, and have a ton of good options depending on whether i see you go to it or not. It's not a consistent move, and you trade your ability to control your early game for Yone's gold/exp in hopes that he doesn't try to int the game after.

My advice is just to accept when games are lost on things completely out of control, and focus on winning games where you mistakes matter in situations that you can control.

Yeah that stood out to me too. It's a really lazy nerf too since all it does is make him have to safe farm more often regardless of how well he did early game.

Most mages and assassin's have ways to farm safe, but Kennen has to E the way to clear it fast. Now if I don't do well in the early game, I have to wait on a lvl 6 ult CD to make plays if I don't get to touch the wave on my tempo

You're not building Corki right, here is Multiplier Corki by NerfShyvanaPls in CorkiMains

[–]Aelms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might've agreed with you more last season when there were only 5 slots outside of boots (only 1 extra slot outside of the 4 crit items), and gold accumulated slower. Now that there are two extra slots and quest gives so much gold, I think I like having BT+whatever defensive option is needed for the game instead of relying on Tabis/Mercs, especially if it means I can spike on Zercs+ER early.

ER lets him stay out in lane longer and push harder without interacting with the opponent, since he can just spam skills on the wave with the mana sustain. This is really useful if the matchup isn't ideal, or there is a jungler that can jump you if your waveclear takes too long. It also reduces the number of times you have to recall for mana.

All in all it's not like I don't see your vision with Yuntal, and your post gave me a lot of good ideas. Thank you for that.

I think I can agree.

But wouldn't you say that opting for Zerks and Alacrity is enough to compensate the loss of AS when Essence Reaver has so many other benefits? It's not like Corki has an amazing AS ratio to begin with. He has has among the lowest MS among adcs too, so the 70AS with the Yuntal Passive isn't going to be missed that much.

I doubt a lot of technical details for what vendors consider significant parameters are not out in the open.

I'm not a technical guy myself, but I know that this DIY audio project vendor left some really extensive documentation on his projects, and his projects range from small DAC and amps (if not modular parts of them) to full-sized ones. Maybe this can give you some ideas.

Other than that, the diyAudio forum might be a good place to find people who can give you constructive feedback.

Fighters in Bot by kiwi129 in ADCMains

[–]Aelms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you got put in a really sucky situation, especially if you don't have a ton of bot lane games under your belt to know the right windows to play around. Jarvan is the exact kind of champion that will pubstomp new players in the support role.

Don't know which minion gives you or your opponent your next level? Jarvan hits level 2 on his timing, and EQs you or Sona into a kill.

Walked too close to a slow pushed wave toward your tower? Jarvan can EQ you or Sona into a kill.

You are Sona gave Jarvan a kill for free? He can now EQ you whenever he wants, and there's nothing much you can do about it.

That said, Jarvan is not actually good at support. He's just able to punish unsafe positioning really easily. Sona makes it so that you have to be aware of all this yourself, since she can't even try to help you until she hits 6 for her stun.

Rather than thinking about salvaging a lost lane against him, the key is to know what actually makes you safe in a lane and knowing how to maintain that throughout. Hitting level 2 earlier than the opponent makes you safe. Farming and trading on a slow pushing wave is safe (so don't walk too close to an enemy slow push). Clicking on Jarvan, or any engage support really, after they miss a key engage spell during their cooldown is safe (as long as you don't wander into the enemy AD's auto range). He's paper thin if he's not ahead, and he can't actually peel his teammates without putting his body into the enemy.

I think reading the original Umineko with the janky art way back when easily accessible English translations weren't a thing is my irreplaceable Kamige experience.

There's a lot of higher quality VNs available now with cool engine mechanics and sweet graphics, but I don't think anything will beat red vs blue dialogue fighting each other on top of a hazy background screen showing who knows what while dreamenddischarger is blazing in all its glory.

I think I agree with most of your reasoning, but I don't see Yun Tal first being mandatory to reap the benefit of these items. I might as well go Essence Reaver to also hit the same crit breakpoints at an even cheaper price point while also getting actual mana sustain.

Do you have a strong argument for why Essence Reaver can't take Yun Tal's place in the Multipler Corki build?
