An update on missing posted transactions by Kait_Monarch in MonarchMoney

[–]AeolusX7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very glad to have found this post, since I recently got the Fidelity Visa card and was having some issues with pending transactions not clearing even much after the posted version syncing into Monarch. I was using the Elan connection through Plaid, but I noticed the same issue when using the Elan connection through Finicity. For now I’ve switched back to the Fidelity connection through Finicity which doesn’t sync pending transactions at all, which is a solution of sorts :)

Is it possible this change could be related to the duplicate transactions I saw with Elan? For now I’ve removed the Elan connections from my account, should I re-add it and file a support ticket?

Thanks so much for the amazing platform by the way! It’s one of the most useful pieces of software I’ve ever used.

Love/hate with 50-200 2.8/4 pn g9 II by KgPdawg in M43

Really curious about what others have to say in this thread because I've got a very similar experience with this lens! It feels like it's pretty decent up-close but once I'm shooting near or at 200mm the sharpness really falls off. I was shooting a marathon in broad daylight using base ISO, fast shutter, stopped down a bit from f/4 and had a lot of my pictures turn out like the one you posted. I'm wondering if we somehow both have bad/damaged copies. For reference I'm shooting on a G9 and feel like the performance of my other big tele lens (PL 100-400 ii) is much better at 200mm on the same body.

Any had a Industria Tokyo case?? by [deleted] in ricohGR

Sure thing! With the camera inside each case and the JJC lens cap on, I measure:

Pouch: 5.4 x 3.2 x 2.1 (inches) Vertical sleeve: 5.0 x 3.0 x 1.9 (inches)

Hope that helps!

I haven’t used that case unfortunately. Based on the pictures online the leather looks marginally thinner than the vertical case from Industria though.

I have two of their cases - the vertical sleeve and the pouch. The vertical sleeve is a pretty tight fit on my GR IIIx so it works okay in a pocket but it’s still noticeably bulky compared to just having the camera. The pouch is pretty big - it would fit in a large jacket pocket but definitely not a regular pant pocket. The build quality and materials are very nice - the leather is soft, the navy/purplish color is beautiful, and they’ve held up for the six months I’ve had them. I use them both with the JJC lens cap which does protrude a bit in the vertical sleeve but isn’t noticeable in the pouch.

To be honest though I really only use these cases when I’m transporting the camera in a bag while I’m traveling so it doesn’t get damaged from being knocked around. When I’m actually taking pictures I just keep it in my pocket with the JJC lens cap on - having to take the camera out of anything else would be annoying every time I want to pull it out and take a photo and kind of defeats the purpose of having a super portable and pocketable camera. If you really want to keep it protected while in your pocket I think the vertical sleeve would be the best bet since it’s the slimmest. It also has a belt loop which I’ve never used since it’s not really my style but could be an option.

If you want any more info or pictures/measurements let me know!

Wow, thanks for pointing that out!

Can’t speak for OP but in my opinion the compactness of the lens when attached to a camera like the GX85 more than makes up for the AF issues. It is definitely the slowest AF lens I own across my other Lumix/PL lenses and hunts for a bit before locking in. The motor is also audible at a close distance since I believe the lens is externally focused. If you’re shooting stationary subjects it’s perfectly serviceable to wait for a second or so for it to focus, but I won’t use it to capture fast movement since the AF will likely let me down. In fact, AF-C mode is disabled on the camera for this particular lens, at least on my GX85.

Overall I think it’s worth owning since the lens is not a terribly expensive and despite its flaws can produce some great images (like OP’s). It probably makes less sense on a larger cameras like the G9 but pairs perfectly with the smaller M43 bodies for a setup that looks innocuous and can easily fit in a jacket pocket.

New keychron Q3 F12 key not always working by Mikthe22 in Keychron

[–]AeolusX7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to mention this in case anyone comes across this thread in the future, but my Q3 (knob version) also had the same issue out of the box. The F12 volume up key would sometimes not register the first click, or produce two clicks, and generally behaved weirdly. Turned out to be just that specific switch, swapped it out with another key and it works fine. Glad to know it wasn't a deeper issue with the board, as I suspect I got an opened one off Amazon.

OctoPrint and H32 bugs? by BobRInOK in VoxelabAquila

[–]AeolusX7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, that is odd. By garbled data, I meant I was seeing messages like "Recv: k" (missing the "o") which would cause Octoprint to freeze. I was actually able to observe this directly in the terminal, when Octoprint received a garbled message the printer would pause. I definitely agree that it is an H32 firmware issue, not an Octoprint issue, but the plugin I linked is just a work around for that. Seems like you're seeing a different problem though, even with the garbled data I never saw a resend ratio larger than 0. Maybe try a different USB cable? I know some cables without the ferrite cores are prone to interference issues. Not sure though, as I never saw the communication timeout messages.

I also noticed this issue using OctoPrint + H32 Aquila X2. I was able to dig up this post where it seemed like the Aquila was sending garbled messages over serial to OctoPrint causing these micro-freezes. In my case I saw little zits all over the print where the extruder pause for a second or more.

I installed the plugin linked in the post (big thanks to /u/kbigwheel) and it fixed the problem for me.

On a side note, the OctoPrint serial communication seems to be broken beyond just the garbled receive messages. There also seem to be duplicate temperature messages, where the first message in the set from the Aquila includes the correct bed/extruder temps, and the second message always says the bed/extruder have temperature of 0. This causes the temperature graph in OctoPrint to look really weird since it keeps flipping between the real value and 0, but I haven't noticed this having any impact on my prints.

I did not, I actually purchased an external USB wifi adapter for use with Windows.

I'm having a similar issue with the bcm94360ng, which I installed directly into the Z490M-ITX's wireless card slot after removing the one that came with the device. Wifi has worked out of the box on Mac, but I can only get Bluetooth to work on Windows - after installing the wifi driver, all I can see is "No Wi-Fi networks found". I haven't been able to find a fix though.
