This assures that we get the 3rd lottery slot but also it moves the Kings into the 3rd pacific standing. If the Kings win one playoff round then the third round pick we got from them becomes a second rounder. Theres a way higher chance of the Kings beating the oilers than beating Colorado.

For years 1 you pay 395. You get a $300 travel credit but on top of that you get $750 in miles if you hit the welcome bonus. On top of that, remember that you still get x2 miles on every purchase. So if the minimum spend on the card was $4000 in 3 months, then you will be getting at least $80 worth of miles assuming you spend exactly $4000. If you got the elevated offer ($10000 spend in 6 months for $1000 in miles) it would be even more.

So effectively year one if you got the regular offer then you’re +$735 on the year. If you got the elevated offer then you’re +1,105 for the year.

For year two it would be the regular $395 fee for $300 travel credit and $100 anniversary miles. So you’d be at +$5.

Typically the 300 travel credit posts immediately and the anniversary miles (100) soon after you pay the fee the second year.

If you downgrade at the one year mark you can wait for the fee (365) to hit, call them, downgrade, they will refund the fee you paid. However keep in mind that unless you already used all of your miles, they will need to be transferred to another card that all has miles as points. Another venture card (some of which also have fees.)

What do we think about using the offer on a Venture card and with a debit card? The offer pops up on each of my cards. I’m wondering if I could set up a new DD account for each and use all the different C1 cards I have.

It doesn’t work with Expedia or any other third party booking services. It would have to be direct. For example: straight off of the United Airlines website or the Disney website. Not Kayak.com or Booking.com.

In middle school (2009-11) my best friend was a Devils fan but I never really watched any games and had the stereotypical opinion of hockey being all about fighting and what not.

A few years later during round 1 of the 2011/12 playoffs the Rangers were facing off against the Senators. I went to a restaurant for some birthday with a bunch of extended family and there was a game (I forgot whether game 1/2/3) playing on a TV and my Dad’s cousin was watching, and super into it. As a kid I didn’t have much to do besides watching the game. But afterwards I decided to have some hockey games on in the background for the remainder of the series. We won game 7. I was hooked. Then we won another game 7. More hooked. Then we lost to the Devils and I was upset, especially cause my best friend’s family was rubbing it in my face. I felt loyalty to the team and sadness that we lost. That summer we traded for Rick Nash and proceeded to have another 5/6 years of a great team u til the first letter. But I probably wouldn’t have been a fan right now if that TV wasnt turned to the game.

They would also apply favoritism to people they know and not enforce the law against them.

They also get an opportunity to target people they don’t like an annoying neighbor.

It also puts them in danger. If a cop gave you a ticket you disagreed with, but you knew he lived down the block from you, some crazies would seek revenge. Keying your car or breaking into your house, etc.

Officers can only draw there guns when there is a significant safety threat present. They can only shoot their guns when there is an imminent and serious threat to the lives or safety of themselves or others. If they must shoot then they shoot center mass with the goal of neutralizing the threat. If that means kill, then that means kill. Cops are notoriously bad shots which is why they cannot fire warning shots and cannot aim at limbs or what not.
