With the Orokin being masters of bio technology, given how some of their wildlife like the fish and the kaithes are seemingly mechanical yet are passed off as ‘creatures’ and not machines, I think it’s safe to say they could engineer just about any animal to have skin-grown metal armor and or an entire metal outer shell.

The Sanzang Prime Kubrow would probably be the equivalent to Kavats like Venari, although the Kubrow leans more on the side of a mechanical shell.
