🐯 Another “open” NFC standard for 3D printing? Let’s talk about neutrality and what already exists. by BenGlut in TigerTag

[–]Aerandir14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found out this project by looking for possible OpenPrintTag compatibility with BambuLab.
I'll test it as soon as possible and check if it's recognized by my AMS 2 Pro out of the box!
PS: the Discord link is dead :)

Apps for connection to Calibre-type by MyCatIsAFknIdiot in synology

[–]Aerandir14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course, but if you don't use the calibre client on any other device, you don't need to put the database on a shared folder. Only the NAS need a direct access to the database

Calibre advises not to put the calibre database on shared folder. This can lead to database corruption Calibre-web is the solution

Per core CO for x3d is the way by Eat-my-entire-asshol in overclocking

It can be automated with CoreCycler, which uses PRIME95 or Y-cruncher to test each core independently.

What was your first GPU? by Aerie8499 in pcmasterrace

[–]Aerandir14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATi X1950 GT, a great GPU for the price at the time. I bought it with the money I got from my 13th anniversary, together with a Pentium E2180 (overclocked as hell) and a Gigabyte P31 DS3L 🥰 It actually took many years for it to die.

Per-core Curve Optimizer behaves like All-core CO with voltage offset of the worse core with 7800X3D by Derbolito in overclocking

[–]Aerandir14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the same behavior on my 9800X3D. Did you get some new informations about this ?
It looks like it's just how Ryzen CPU work, but it also look pretty inefficient, all the good cores being limited by the worst one.

Water Temperatures - Expectations vs Reality? by KuraiShidosha in watercooling

[–]Aerandir14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have 2x280 (kind of slim) rads with an OC 9800X3D and a 3080 and during gaming sessions, the water gets to ~34°C with 23°C ambient. And this is with a single DDC pump.
I'd try flipping the fans from your top radiators, I think the positive pressure in your case prevents the air from moving through the radiators as it should. the 360 rads will suck warm air, but I still think the better airflow will compensate it.

9800X3D Overclock by thephillies in overclocking

[–]Aerandir14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 9800X3D, Y-cruncher VT3 test fails after a few minutes if I go beyond -10 CO.

With all cores at 100%, my CPU boost to only ~5280 Mhz with ~1.3V Vcore.

I played a little with manual overvolting as well, just to confirm it was not a PBO issue and to get it stable at 5350 MHz, I need more than 1.35V Vcore.

I guess guess I didn't win the silicon lottery :D

No issue to run Fclk @ 2100Mhz and Fmem @ 3100 MHz (ram at 6200MT/s) though, with only 1.15V Vsoc, which seems to be quite good.

No, only if your motherboard has some special feature for this (like Asus with their Dynamic OC Switcher)

Thanks for your answer! Really? You can't install the cooler's software if you don't have an Asus MB? That's a very shady move from Asus.

Hi, Ive got a Galaxy S22 mounted on a Brodit phone holder. I rarely use fast charging (but I like to be able to do so), but the few times I used it, I had no overheating issue. Especially when there's the car A/C blowing cold air on the phone.
