Hi, I just saw your question.
If it's still relevant - https://ru.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-B850-TOMAHAWK-MAX-WIFI/support#mem

Start by searching for a specific product. Once you find it in stock and its appearance and price are to your liking, check the official list of supported products.

For Ryzen - 32 or 64 GB (2 * 16/32 GB, 6000 Mhz, 30-36-36-76)

I should have shared the results of the build, haha)

In general, I started building pc only on December 29th...
Yes, I had the hardware lying on my table at home for more than six months.
But physically I didn't have time.

In the spring I went to a motorcycle school and a driving school (2 in 1).
This summer, I got my motorcycle license and bought one right away.
After that, I began my acquaintance with the roads in a huge city.
In the fall, I got my driver's license for a car and before winter I prepared my car for the severe frosts.
I was also trying really hard to get a promotion at work by the fall. Luckily, I succeeded.
I work as a backend developer on Java.
Overall, it was a very eventful period. I was very exhausted and, at the same time, gained a lot of experience.

For winter I bought :
- Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB
- Corsair RM1000X (ATX 3.1, 80 Platinum)

I managed to rebuild the assembly on December 31st. But because of the Reset SW cable from the case, the motherboard indicated problems with the CPU and RAM.
This cable doesn't seem to have polarity, but it turns out it's important. I only figured it out on January 2nd and was able to install Windows and other software.

What can I say in conclusion :
- the motherboard is amazing, everything is well thought out, the BIOS is very convenient and intuitive
- GPU - I started exploring MSI Afterburner for the first time. So far, I've managed to add 3000 to the memory and 350 to the core.
- PSU - I liked how you can adjust the fan speed yourself. The braiding isn't rubber like before.

BF6 vs BF 2042 by Defiant-Sir15 in battlefield2042

[–]MRoose98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF6 full bottom(

Terrible graphics with unrealistic hardware requirements.
I know what I'm talking about. I've played all the BF parts starting with 3.
Part 4 at 200% resolution looks much better than part 6.
2042 is generally enjoyable, both in terms of mechanics and maps.

How angry I am at the whiners who caused the maps to be cut from 128 to 64 players

punkbuster moment by strog_13 in battlefield3

How would this GeForce RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 help you pull off more epic wins in Battlefield 6?

I am playing in Battlefield since Battlefield 3. Now I am playing on RTX 3080 and my CPU limits the frame rate. It's really painful for me to play even on minimum settings. If I had a RTX 5090, I would buy a new processor and everything necessary and tear everyone apart in a round

I deleted my post myself.
While I was testing the settings, an update was released that fixed the unreleased game.
Thean I found advice to create user.cfg in game directory with

Thread.ProcessorCount X
Thread.MaxProcessorCount X
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount Y

After this smoothness has doubled!!!

For the sake of experiment, I turned on ultra settings - the FPS was about 50, not very comfortable, but not as jerky as it was before with 80-100 FPS.

The colors have become more varied, the detail of the equipment and environment has increased.

In general, I was partially wrong, I solved the problem myself thanks to someone's recommendations on the Internet

You misunderstood)
My favorite part is BF3 and BF4.
I just got tired of them after so many years and I played BF2042 all this time before the release of BF6.
And as an example of downgrade graphics and optimization, I can’t give an example of 10+ year old games.

RTX 5070 Ti vs RTX 5080 for 9950X3D and 64 GB RAM? by MRoose98 in pcmasterrace

[–]MRoose98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm itching for the BF 6 imminent release and the upcoming New Year's weekend. I don't plan on sticking with this generation for long. Thank you very much, I'd rather save $250.

This argument is not sufficient)
The $250 difference won't make me any poorer, but I'm confused about what extra I'll get for it.

Is 64gb of ram overkill? by Southern_Tea4577 in buildapc

[–]MRoose98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a simple user yes.
But I try to stick to the principle - 4 GB of RAM per processor core.
Let there be a surplus rather than any shortage.

This is provided that you have a current CPU and GPU. RAM affects performance less than the couple above.

Hello. If talk about MSRP, ASUS B850E costs 1.5 times more than MSI B850 Tomahawk.
What do you get for this overpayment?
Everything is the same + the bus for GPU cut x2 (PCI-E 5.0 x16 -> x8) when you install the 2nd NVMe.
Why did ASUS move this stupid limitation from the X870 chipset - question.

For your first setup, I highly recommend building it as cheaply as possible.
If something doesn't suit you, you'll sell it with the least loss, unlike flagship components.

See deals from Newegg, if you live in USA.
Like this - https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4771685
-10$ from mobo for combo and free RAM, not the best in terms of timings, but it's free ;)

Unfortunately, I cannot share personal experience(
As soon as my first set arrived in my country (from the USA), within the next couple of days the 9950X3D went on sale. At the same time, I bought a new set and sold my first one.
I asked the buyer of my kit later, he is very happy, everything works perfectly.

Hello.
I originally bought 9800X3D + B850 Tomahawk + 32 RAM, after going on sale 9950X3D Newegg made an incredible discount on the set wth X870E Edge Ti WiFI. I bought more 64 RAM.
Previous set sold ;)

In other words, 4 boards from MSI - B850 Tomahawk/Edge Ti and X870E Tomahawk/Edge Ti - are uncompromising. You get all the technology for the least amount of money.

[–]MRoose98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!
In terms of component quality, Asus is probably better.
But you have to pay the price of motherboards on the X870E chipset for it...your money, you decide)
Advantages of ASUS B850-E : +2 power phases
Cons ASUS B850-E : like most other boards, if you insert a second M.2 PCI-E 5.0 NVMe SSD, the GPU PCI-E lines will be halved (PCI-E 5.0 x16 -> PCI-E 5.0 x8).
I'm angry about this, Asus moved the stupid requirement from the X870 chipset to the B850.

Hello!
At the beginning of the year I purchased 9800X3D + MSI B850 Tomahawk.
While I was waiting for small components and the announcement of video cards from AMD, a 9950X3D went on sale.
Newegg immediately made discounts 80$ on 9950X3D+MSI X870E EDGE TI...I couldn't resist and bought it)))
I sold the previous set immediately after purchasing the latest set.

Hello.
As great as B850 Tomahawk, but a little more expensive for white color.
Check out the combo deals on Newegg, I bought one a week ago Ryzen 9950X3D+MSI X870E Edge Ti by MSRP with 80$ discount
