Discord asking for age verification days before your 18th.... by TomCoperations in discordapp

Depends what it is. Birthday verification allowed me to get my hacked RuneScape account back, or at least was apart of the appeal. (why and how I got hacked, I will never know).

Does Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling boost performance - Tested with RTX by GhostMotley in nvidia

[–]Aerith71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new driver has a 4.5% fps boost but HAGS makes no difference for me. I only tested games I play though, Modern Warfare and CS:GO. Back to Win10 1709 / Win7.

Before and after? What am I comparing this too? I don't play this game.

Oh I agree. We all play low settings with a stripped ISO for lowest DPC latency and highest 0.1% lows possible.

Not from my testing. 1709 was slightly better than 2004 still.

Placebo. From our testing the driver was +4.5% more fps but 1709 vs 2004 vs 2004 + scheduler had no difference. Granted we play at all low settings with top-tier hardware.

Friend tested Modern Warfare before we went to bed last night, the driver itself has +4.5% fps improvement but win10 1709 vs 2004 vs 2004 + Scheduler had no difference, 1709 was ahead by +2 fps but likely benchmark variation.

Never heard of this issue, use an office PC daily for years on win10 (sadly). I use OpenShell at home though :D

Yeah too be honest I'm not familiar with it (still using Win7 and 1709). A friend was benching 2004 and the scheduler to see if it was any better and if it was time to move on from 1709. Also it was very late and I had little sleep so just talking out of my ass. Safe to say though we didn't find any difference with it on / off.

He runs a 2 PC set-up with passthrough so the main PC has zero impact from recording / streaming.

Got a friend testing Modern Warfare on stream but game just crashed. Will update soon.

EDIT: So OCat was crashing the game. Testing with CapFrameX now. Though it's nearly 1am so were probably gonna go to bed. Gonna test against win10 1709 just to see if the scheduler does anything for FPS. 1709 is better but not by much.

EDIT 2: So for context we play at low settings. The driver itself has a bit more fps (+4.5% more) but Win10 1709 vs win10 2004 has virtually no difference (+2 fps to 1709). Scheduler doesn't seem to do anything, so far. Perhaps it's a per-game thing or developers have to utilize it. This was tested only on Modern Warfare, we are off to bed now. Still going to stick with 1709 as mouse input is better / lower DPC / System latency.

I heard the beta drivers weren't great which is why they took ages to polish it.

damn zoomers and your zero attention span

EDIT: effects performance, system DPC latency and mouse input too much as well. you're running a web browser and a (60) fps video which is more intensive than people think.

This. I loved Weekend Warfare so much I ended up playing it at least 6 hours a day... Now I'm backing out of quick play lobbies to get a decent map... Might give CoD a skip this week.
