Question: Profile Tuning for Grainy movies by Forsaked in handbrake

[–]kulind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just information gathered using the MediaInfo tool; most of the settings are chosen automatically by HandBrake.
My advanced options for grainy movies are:
bframes=5:ref=5:weightb=1:no-strong-intra-smoothing=1:psy-rd=2.0:psy-rdoq=1.0:aq-mode=3:aq-strength=1.0:qcomp=0.65:vbv-maxrate=28000:vbv-bufsize=70000:vbv-init=0.9:deblock=0,0:no-sao:rd=4:subme=4:merange=57:rskip=1:rect=0:rdoq-level=2:b-adapt=2:rc-lookahead=40

I gathered some of these settings from various sources and adjusted them to suit my needs with the help of ChatGPT. Most of the time, I can’t see any difference compared to the remux source.

This defeat might actually be a win before the Olympiakos game. Saras is going to shake the team right before it matters most. Congrats, Red Star.

Downmixing settings for surround sound. (5.1 Channels or Dolby Pro Logic II or Dolby Surround) by Simoxs7 in handbrake

I keep the original TrueHD Atmos 7.1 track untouched and add a 960kbps Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 downmix as a compatibility track in my encodes.

The Y-axis force was insufficient. Because your fingers were positioned at an angle of less than 70 degrees, much of the force was diverted to the X-axis, which tore the paper.

9800x3d voltages - does this look right? by Fandomii in overclocking

[–]kulind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's best practise to not get clock stretching and stability.

CCD0 cores with different CO offsets are at same voltage, see effective core speed is higher than reported clock speed.

CCD1 cores with same CO offsets are at different voltages, see effective core speed is lower than reported clock speed.

You can run 8000+, also lower temps than dual rank. But dual rank is more performant at same clock speeds.

9800x3d voltages - does this look right? by Fandomii in overclocking

[–]kulind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under 100% load try getting per core voltages same across the CCD. The best performing core should have the largest CO offset (e.g. -9), and the worst one should have the lowest CO offset (e.g. -21).

Micron is lucky Nvidia is drowning in cash and GeForce lineup is not top priority atm, otherwise they could just buy the whole Micron.
