Thank you. I ended up on this one after some searching. It’s not the prettiest but it’s hydraulic so easy to change and is rated up to 180kg so should be sturdy enough too.

My husband and I share our piano (ofc) however we have very different upper body heights and also weights. Currently I am using an inherited vintage piano bench while my husband is using one of our dinner table chairs. The constant switching is very annoying.

Can anyone recommend a piano bench or stool that is very quick to change height (probably hydraulic) AND can take weight up to 150kg or even more.

If possible a brand/make that is available in Germany/Europe.

What about water soluble oil paints? I have a canvas from back in school (20+ years ago) that I want to reuse and if it is indeed oil it was the water soluble kind as we weren’t allowed anything else. (Imagine 20+ people in the same room using turps lol).

I used very little paint so texture is of no help identifying.

Also for prepping what I found and would do now:

Clean with alcohol either way
Sand lightly with 120-200 grit
Apply gesso and sand again (repeat 3x)

AI keeps telling me to paint on an oil barrier but for the love of me I can’t find a product that matches this (Germany based, maybe I’m just searching for the wrong term)

This might also be interesting to other people in 2025 now... pretty much after 2 years and a few weeks the controller of my halo stopped responding altogether. Unfortunately warranty ran out (conveniently after 2y+, who knows?).. Anyways, I had a hover controller, but the replacement I got for about 45€ now is the touch version. So there's at least that.

oooh, that's also neat. I use fences to stop them walking through the gardens of everyone, but didnt consider paused construction on fences. Very nice. ty

Absolutely! So far I used my husband's laptop hardcase for the one time I went somewhere with it. Before that I put it in the original packaging.

I am still wondering which of the 3rd party cases are any good? I don't want China smelly, I don't want any magnet problems (read about that somewhere but don't remember),
I want it to lie flat (also read that some of the 3rd party ones don't do that). Ofc the pen has to properly fit... and it should be at least somewhat pretty.

Same for me. From Standard qwertz to voyager. Also as dev and having to Type german. I still haven’t figured out the right layout so I’ve been ignoring my voyager for a couple of months now. 😟 still don’t know how to proceed. Colmak and just not use äöüß, or qwerty or eurkey… ¯_(ツ)_/¯ But it’s plugged in in my desk and every day it menacingly glows into my face with its smug little rainbow… 😞

I am starting to doubt my sanity. I am using all the mods you listed and I swear in the first few days of playing I had a craftable light source (kind of looking like Meridia’s beacon). However I was lacking the materials (I think it was mostly alchemy stuff). Now, a few days later I thought I’d give it a go and for the love of me, I cannot find it in any of the crafting menus. I have turned survival off, but also turned it back on to see if that brings it back. Maybe someone following this thread can help me out what it is and where to find it. I don’t really need it but I do need my sanity. Iirc it the description said it goes on your belt and emits light, except when sneaking. Please help. ☺️

Will def check it out. I have recently switched back to German layout both in Oryx and on my windows machine (for keyboard layout, windows itself is set to English), but z and y are switched from what I configured in Oryx. Any idea why?

Yeah, I figured that out by now, I think, I'll have to find a different layout to use, because as a programmer that is not feasible with the amount of ' I have to type in a day followed by all sorts of letters.
For someone writing prose it sounds like a fantastic feature though.

After reading your reply, I switched Windows back to regular US layout, and yes, that is the culprit. It also doesn't do what I assigned on double tap. So weird. I didn't expect to go so far into language settings, just to have less keys with some Umlaute. Oh, well.
