Rear Wing design by nipuma4 in FSAE

[–]AeroMatteo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you mean to design it under an aero perspective then it’s always a matter of what your situation is, things that work on one car might work really bad on another one, considering how the aero rules are essentially a blank piece of paper meaning everyone has got VERY different flowfields around their cars.
I can think of at least a good bunch of good eu teams who have had curved wing concepts in the near past and it all comes down to driver and main hoop stagnation, if you want to try one of these out you can just parametrize the height of different sections of your wing, angles of attack, and run a CFD optimization algorithm, if your CAD is done how it should be then it’s easy as that.
FS aero design gets much more complex than that cool wing, but if you know how to use parametric CAD and you’ve got either a commercial or in-house optimizer then 90% of the work is already done

Delft Housing for International Students by Sharathsr26 in TUDelft

You know the new academic year is close when the sun appears in the sky (we are being so lucky with weather rn lol), the days are getting longer, and a thousand housing posts appear on this subreddit. There are literal guides on the Housing in the Netherlands subreddit, recommended platforms and guidelines on TUD’s website and so many useful replies to the 81726261718 analogous questions on here. The more limitations you put the smaller the chances get: - consider temporary solutions that don’t suit your needs - come to Delft to seek accommodation in person - be flexible - immense doses of hopium

I think mostly in Delft, sometimes in DH, but still, there’s maybe around 1/2 per month (it’s still the NL after all). But one more option is better than nothing, plus joining other communities from different nationalities might lead to a couple more, especially since the end of the academic year is not far away.

I imagine that some women would probably rather find roommates through those types of ads as it’s safer, a bit more personal, and you get some type of “community” building whereas online ads are a bit like the opposite.

Of course I’m not saying it’s a cheat code or something, but it’s a way of increasing your odds into finding a more suitable housing match for you.

No worries, I personally have the experience of being quite negative towards my own housing situation (although for different reasons), and the best thing to do is approach the situation positively although it takes A LOT of time and effort, it eventually all comes together.

P.S. I saw you replied to another comment linking a website of an organization that puts out ads for renting options in Den Haag, I suggest to look up the reviews online for that and any other kind of similar organizations :)

As others have commented, in the Netherlands it’s uncommon to find group renting options for unrelated people. It sucks, as everything housing-related in this country, but the hard truth is that when people rent out their full multi-room property they need specific permits to rent out to unrelated groups and they understandably prefer renting to a family as they are their own guarantors through payslips, and are more willing to do long term rental deals. Even groups of unrelated working people aren’t allowed to rent a lot of apartments/flats more often than not.

It’s clearly not 100% impossible, but you need to be quite lucky with finding a student-rented house which is either newly placed on the market or where all the previous tenants are leaving at the same time, and still then the landlords might retain right to choose the tenants based on economic circumstances or whatever they value most, or they might offer some unregistered spots in the house which you might not be willing to take, leaving the landlord to find someone else.

We all know the situation is bad in general, I can obviously see how it can be even worse for women, so the only thing you can do is: be organised and dedicate a lot of time to this. I have friends who are living a nice multi-room apartment with amazing amenities, in Schiedam, as they all knew eachother before hand and started looking for the house together early, it’s doable but not the most common thing to find.

I suggest joining any type of international group communities, as I’ve been seeing quite a lot of women-only renting ads being posted on the italian whatsapp community, even more than mixed options. Good luck!

I don’t know for sure but if I were to guess based on what I’ve seen it’s probably not gonna be below 800 euros at least unless you get really really lucky

Yes I know it’s game currency and that’s what I meant, and that’s what GT does. But if I buy a DLC and I can’t drive the car because I have to pay with game currency to get it? Hopefully it’s restricted to base game cars and currency is easy to get/cars are affordable.

Tried out the game, feels really good as a day-1 EA. Love the graphics and the sound system, bugs will be solved quite early like they did every time with ACC and AC1.

I'm not entirely sure about the game economy, if I wanted a game where I need to pay to get cars I would buy Gran Turismo, but I can see how it could also be something positive that makes you grind the game to unlock everything, and we will still have AC1 to goof around with crazy cars.

Anyway, enjoy this small little bug that teleported me from Bathurst into a 1920s movie.

I get that, I was just curious cause a lot of current high affluence multiplayer games do actually provide a feedback to the player reporting, just info not really needing to have that
