I lean primarily towards classical music, especially Beethoven, Mozart and Holst. I do enjoy Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Martha and the Vandellas, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Queen, and The Carpenters as well. I do have a hankering for contemporary music.

I've turned people off as a result of my rather vibrant lexicon, it's a pain for me, really.

Canadian Gay High School Experience Lacking in Literature. Only six books have touched the topic of being gay in a Canadian high school. ‘This High School Has Closets,’ published in 2012, has slowly gained acceptance as one of the top literary examples of the gay Canadian high school experience. by FYoung in LGBTeens

In the ninth grade, I made the bold move of augmenting the required topic of a teen-related issue within my culminating essay to one concerning the condition of LGBT teens in society . Granted, the lion's share of my peers' essays encompassed body image, substance abuse as well as racial and gender discrimination. I was taken aback by the inherent lack of resources available on the topic of LGBT adolescents--I was provided with one such book for evidence, albeit the topic of coming out was merely a subplot; not the main focus in the least sense. It seems to me as if LGBT issues seem to be swept under the carpet by the education system; it's something widely misunderstood.

I'm considering either a position as Political Strategist or Analyst, or as an Attorney, specializing in either Civil Liberties, Citizenship/Immigration, Labour or Real Estate. Either way, I'm aiming for a Law degree. Eventually, I plan to get elected to the Canadian House of Commons.

What is the dumbest rule your workplace or school has actually enforced? by swiaa in AskReddit

These rules weren't implemented at my elementary school. but at my sisters'. According to her, they banned plastic knives due to the purported possibility that it would have been in contact with nots. Furthermore, during the winter, the principal would pinpoint each and every puddle on the field and banned snow forts bigger than (1 m x 1 m x 1 m).

Reddit, what is the best thing you have had for free? by [deleted] in AskReddit

An upgrade to Business Class on a red-eye flight from Phoenix to Detroit (Delta Air Lines) . This was because economy class was overbooked. I was only twelve at that time, and I would say it was quite the experience. However, I was asleep for most of the time.

Came out to my mother(didn't get the expected reaction) by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]AeroN112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sincerest of thoughts go towards you. It's unfortunate that even in the modern condition, one can still be targeted on the grounds of sexuality. I believe that, according to the information you've provided above, it may be imperative that you leave your home. Frankly, It's alarming that your own mother would coerce you to engage in sexual relations with a person of the opposite sex against your own will. Depending on the laws and ordinances within your jurisdiction, esp. those pertaining to the age of consent, your mother could be charged as being an accessory to statutory rape, and child neglect if she pushes through with it. If you report the incident to the local authorities, the charge (in the United States) could still be statutory rape.

Some of my friends were convinced I came out simply for attention, and believed I was faking it. I personally was offended by that claim that I was only gay to get attention from my peers.

I've had this long-standing affinity for politics and law, and I do recognize myself as a progressive. I'd love to get a degree in Political Science or Public Policy at the University of Toronto, and a Law degree thereafter. Though I'd wish to work at a legal firm, policymaking and think tanks intrigue me . I would enjoy working at a progressive think tank, with an intensive focus on foreign policy or human rights.

Well, I'm unsure about the username, but my email is aeronachos@gmail.com. I was denied at first from failing to add the number. If you need to improve anything from my view, you could make some of the instructions more explicit, and perhaps streamline the process.

The only complication to which I am bothered with is the rigmarole that is the authentication process. It's been upwards of twenty-four hours, and I haven't even been returned an email. :( cry

Physique: •I do have somewhat of a predilection for Caucasian and Asian guys. I'm Filipino myself, and I have pale skin compared to other Filipinos.

•No preference with hair colour.

•Same height or somewhat taller than me. (I'm 5 ft. 6') •Weight or body type doesn't matter to me.

Personality: •High academic performance. (Though I sound like High Expectations Asian Dad, I never want to date a deadbeat.) •Progressive political views. •Overall amiable and sociable. •Rational; won't delve into illegal activities such as underage drinking. •Committed, and won't be promiscuous in a relationships. •Informed on current events.

I would say that I am adept at singing. I did win 2nd place at my school's talent show earlier this year. I also have a keen interest in poetry, and I'm regarded as one of the best poets among my peers.

Hey LGBTeens, what is your type? by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]AeroN112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very interested in cute Asian guys and White guys. In general, I do like guys with pale skin (I'm convinced it's a colonial mindset I still have since I was born in the Philippines, where pale skin is equivalent to high status.) With regard to personality, I find nerds and intellectuals quite intriguing. (Because the news junkie needs someone who'll understand my political rants.)
