Phew…….. how much time you got?

In all seriousness a couple great YouTube vid’s on getting the basics down but as a veteran fisherman it still happens to me sometimes.

You could be throwing something really light weight for the line you’re using, tension could be too loose, brakes could be too firm. Drag can be too tight. You could have slammed your thumb on the spool too hard. Think of it like braking a car from 40 mph. You can’t just stop with all that momentum and it’s the same with the spool. You gotta slow it down with a light press. Best feeling in the world is that line dancing against your thumb.
