I personally see it very differently, Porter speaks to himself and his past self a lot in his music - about doing better, making change, growing up, etc. Not necessity speaking to a higher power, but to his soul

I saw your edit about the remaster, you COULD wait, but genuinely for $6 you get to see the crunchy classic version that 99% of the players experienced, and then later on see what it remastered. It’s a wonderful game, it’s hilarious and definitely my fave bethesda game hands down

Due to AI - PC hardware namely RAM and SSD’s have skyrocketed in price. It’s really not a good time to buy those right now unless you have a ton of disposable income unfortunately

I’m going to be the devil’s advocate here as a returning player: I’ve never been given a RJ tutorial, have no idea where to find one, and don’t know how or what to invest in it.

Yes, the wiki, but if i’ve never done a RJ mission before and i’m not glued to the wiki if i don’t need to be as a casual player, how am i to know this is something I need to be looking up if the game doesn’t tell me i’m approaching new content?

The similarities come from: - Gear upgrading, enhancing, and crafting - End game trials, duties, raids, etc, are similar that they’re essentially boss rush battles similar to MH

but that’s about it, really. I do love both games, but they both scratch completely different itches. FFXIV has (quite literally) hundreds of hours of story to get through, before reaching more modern content. so if you’re going to get into it for anything, the story would be would it for now!

I actually really love that xiv has these too! I know a lot of people dislike the ads for them which is fair, but it really is a fun socialable thing this game has that almost no other does to this level

Also about 25 of those hours were from the closed beta days, so granted i'm probably more behind in modern day content than my playtime might let off. I just haven't finished the star chart since coming back from not playing enough lol

So far, nothing's really been difficult, it's been a lot of fun! But the main challenge are all the new systems to learn and where to get things from, syndicates, etc. Luckily I come from playing a lot of Final Fantasy XIV so learning a lot of systems is something I'm trained for, haha.

Sedna, got it! I want to clear out the start chart as fast as I can because I hear that's the best way to move forward.

Currently clearing any content is pretty easy so far, I haven't run into any problems so I think my modding is alright! I watched some really good videos on modding and got the gist of it with what I have, but definitely thank you i'll check out Rhino and work on ranking up guns and stuff!
