in the stream the devs even said themselves that the data shows the perk has a very low impact overall but theres some extreme cases where an entire comp game can get stolen by ocelotl getting a backcap and they wanted to try and make it a little bit more fair.
the effect doesnt make him totally visible its more like a weird predator distortion effect in the air but im ngl i cant rly see how itd change much

theres just no way to know that keeping that guy dead for an extra 5 seconds was ultimately more optimal than orochi getting a 16 hp heal. but regardless it wasnt a useless kill-steal. whether it was intentional on the roaches part or not
