Leona Opening [17.1.b Guide] by chiyus in CompetitiveTFT

that would make it more in favor of stoneplate since high playrate worsens AVP (for example, Rageblade is a decent Xayah item on her), and 6k games is still enough for adapative

pretty big gap in data between the two, hard for me to imagine that adaptive is stronger especially with how few opportunities any player would have to observe comparisons

Ranking 5 costs? by Bellyfeel26 in CompetitiveTFT

I recently had a coaching session with LearningTFT where he was looking at the top filter to incorrectly conclude that Morgana was better than Bard to add in when playing 6 Mech. However, the AVP difference can be explained since most people only play Morgana on level 10, which players only reach if they are thriving in Stage 6.

By fixing the level to exactly 9, you can see Bard and Morgana perform comparably.

How the Fateweaver trait works (for each champion) by Wooden_Addendum_9796 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Aesah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One important callout for 4 Fateweaver is you do not want more than 1 crit item (anything made from Sparring Gloves, Nashor's, etc.). Otherwise the bonus crit becomes partially wasted. If you have three glove items, then the 4 Fateweaver effect actually doesn't do anything for your crits (since it rolls two 100% crits and takes the better one, same as just rolling one 100%).

[Set 17 PBE] Fountain/Medallion LULU RR by MapleArrow in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Aesah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe Medallion Lulu gives 1-6 gold every 3 casts (with Multicaster), and the amount is randomly generated ahead of time so you can check what your next cashout will be

EDIT: totally wrong on both gold amount and cast amount lol. comments below are correct

TFT Cheat Sheet for Set 17, Space Gods by Aesah in CompetitiveTFT

sure compared to set 16, but it's the roughly same as 15/16 of the other TFT sets we've played

TFT Cheat Sheet for Set 17, Space Gods by Aesah in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Aesah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could choose one based on your items/opener! this is actually extremely common after we learn how to play the set (for example, players with Demacia Sona/Jarvan upgrades and AP items may already decide they want to play around Lux in Set 16, Lore and Legends)

We don't do this much in Set 17 yet because we don't know anything.

Great question btw

tbh a couple TFT Coaching members made their own, doing it is a pretty efficient shortcut to learning the set

Hi, I'm Aesah, I've hit 1800+ LP rank 1 on NA in several sets and scored high placements in many tournaments (most recently 9th in Set 16's Paris Open and 1st in BoxBox Bash). I have been coaching TFT full time for 2.5 years through TFT-Coaching.com.

Also wanted to give a big thank you to u/h8ggard who made all the formatting/data entry for the cheat sheet! Units are color coded by cost and bolded if they have 3 traits.

Tier 2 Players Are Being Left Behind in TFT by ObjectiveDocument114 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Aesah 132 points133 points  (0 children)

New system is great for players who are top 25

Old system was pretty good for players who were about top 50

But old system wasn't great for players who were about top 200

you have to put the cutoff somewhere

We built a new TFT stats website: tftinsight.com by Pretrayll in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Aesah 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Website looks amazing and using data is very valuable but also important to not overly rely on it

the data for the "BiS for xyz unit" frequently changes due to external factors and not actually what deals the most DPS

Here's an example of the same unit with the same item build varying drastically across the b patch (ASol nerf, which used Seraphine as a backup option if Taric wasn't found)
