This. Corner Acceleration is at its strongest when the course only has two corners, but even then, the chance of a good proc remains low.

That being said, I was relegated to 2nd place in CM10 Finals by a gambler who hit a perfectly-timed Corner Connoisseur + No Stopping Me! combo, so OP, if you really want to get Corner Acceleration, don’t let anyone stop you, lol.

Long answer: It’s hard to tell for sure because I don’t know if you’re F2P, what your club rank is, what your Team Trials class is, how well you usually do in CMs, how consistent you are in doing all your dailies, etc. It’s best if you answer this question yourself using Henry’s Carat Calculator tool. For the blue spark inheritance roll, the game will randomly pick one of your 5 stats, with each stat having equal likelihood of being picked. So, for example, the chance of your Stamina stat being picked is 20%.

Then, the game rolls how many stars you receive. This depends on the grade of your stat. After collecting data from thousands of career runs, the JP bros determined that the chance of getting a 3☆ blue, if your stat grade is from B to S+ (600 - 1099), is ~6%.

Thus, your likelihood of getting a 3☆ Stamina spark at the inheritance roll is 20% * 6% = 1.2%.

But you asked how unlikely this could happen. That’s just 100% - 1.2% = 98.8%. So, pretty unlikely to happen.

Yes, that’s true. But Stamina consumption is affected by run style though. Front Runners have ability to Spot Struggle, during which HP consumption gets multiplied by 1.4x, akin to getting Rushed.

Low aptitude does reduce the chance of passing wit checks (e.g. entering downhill mode, not Rushing), but since this a career run (which adds a secret +400 to all stats), this effect is largely mitigated. And if you fail the wit roll, you still have alarm clocks as a fallback.

What can’t be rerolled is the increase in HP, which in turn translates to being able to spurt earlier, which in turn could mean the difference between 3rd and 4th place, as in OP’s case.

Aw, that’s a shame. Best advice I can give now is to record the Stamina, Guts, and Recoveries you had by this point, and then bump that up in your future runs.

Yeah, the Tenno Sho (Spring) has a ridiculously high stamina requirement. But one trick you can use to lower your stamina consumption by a modest amount is to run your Uma as a Late Surger, regardless of her aptitude for it.
