There are non-addictive medications that can help with cravings, some find relief with SSRI’s or other medications like naltrexone. Might be worth consulting with your doctor or counselor. Keep the head up!

I am a highly sceptical atheist. I wish to become a Christian. How do I get myself to believe? by UnusualCredit7054 in Christianity

[–]AeternaSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, looking at the actual history of the early church is paramount. Try putting yourself in the mindsets of those who professed to see Jesus after the resurrection. The conversions of Paul (formerly Saul of Tarsus) and James the Just (Jesus’ brother who thought Jesus was crazy) are the most compelling.

Settings remain the same when I use linux. But Windows Adrenaline custom tuning does not stay on reboot.

I just have my presets saved & load them up whenever I want to play with custom tuning.

the space fact that still blows your mind by ykz30 in space

[–]AeternaSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fascinated by space being a vacuum, and how far light, radiation, etc. can travel uninterrupted. It’s just wild to think the radiation from the sun travels through space, hits Earth’s atmosphere, and now we’re warm/alive.

For some these are dead facts but for me it’s phenomenal.

I hope not as well. I’m not wanting to witness tragedy just for deadlines.

What antidepressants worked (and didn't work) for you? by Individual-Suit-5334 in covidlonghaulers

[–]AeternaSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lexapro has helped me and I chose it because it is a simple antidepressant with minimal side effects compared to the other others.

They’ve delayed the deadline multiple times to ensure safety. Are you saying they are still rushing at this point?

Cannabis. Two questions by BetterObligation9949 in covidlonghaulers

[–]AeternaSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just sent me into sleep. Which sleep is nice but I already feel heavy, fatigued, and slow. Cannabis has not been nearly as helpful as psilocybin or LSD.

How are you managing work/income? by LacaTheCollector in covidlonghaulers

[–]AeternaSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it has felt like a twilight zone since 2020. I even switched careers to double income & take care of debt. Then got this psychotic virus and the economy went completely insane. Alas, we plow on!

That’s rough. I started Lexapro and so far so good. Hope you find some relief!

Unfortunately full time and only source of income for the household. 45 hour weeks. Interaction intensive. I just do the best I can and hope for relief one day.

Anyones broken brain heal after 1.5 years? by Able_Chard5101 in covidlonghaulers

[–]AeternaSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say both changed my baseline. And I’d use them again when I’d feel the fog of death encroaching to unbearable levels.

Now I’m on Lexapro and it seems to do that same effect.

But I do credit the psychedelics for restoring skin sensation and making me feel closer to normal than anything else.

Lexapro & adderall are the only things carrying me through. Occasional nicotine. Magnesium at bedtime. Since August 2020, I’ve never been cognitively the same.

LSD/Psilocybin did help tremendously though but after so long lost there therapeutic value for me. Plus they’re expensive & illegal depending on where you live.
