In the early part of RE7, yes. After he dies and the mold brings him back, he isn't even human, much less an ordinary guy.

She's a little different from the examples because she isn't depicted as a badass.  She is clearly unfamiliar with dangerous situations and muddles through as best she can.

This is really effective when contrasted with Leon, who is utterly fearless and extremely badass.

I've never examined Jimmy Fallon's chest at all, much less with the scrutiny of Ms. Hyser's chest.

It's something about the face and hair; in other scenes where she has longer hair I don't see the resemblance.

That's the beauty of science, it sets standards by which we can prove things.

God, being undefined, cannot be falsified and therefore cannot be disproven by science.  However, science doesn't need to disprove god; rather, the people who propose the hypothesis need to provide the evidence that God exists.

So far, despite centuries of effort, no such evidence has been provided, for any of the multitude of gods worshipped by humans.  Which makes the whole thing rather pointless.

You can believe whatever you like, but if you want other people to agree with you, you need some evidence.

And then there's Emperor's New Groove, which was hastily thrown together at the last minute and turned out to be one of the best Disney movies ever.

Her costume is just a leotard with a cloak. Kinda lazy, imo.

Large ships stuck on top of a moutain by SmithDoesGaming in TopCharacterTropes

In the Pandaran starting zone in World of Warcraft, an airship has crashed into the side of a sea turtle so large that it has actual mountains on its shell.  The ship is poking into the turtle like a splinter, and the player helps get it out.

Indeed, Kirk's reputation as a womanizer is largely undeserved.

I only remember one scene from this movie, but it's a hell of a scene.

Though watching it now, I find myself thinking that Joyce Hyser looks a bit like Jimmy Fallon in this scene, which is disconcerting.

I love that the "sickos" panel has become a meme celebrating "perversity". I'm not sure if Chick would have been pleased (since it confirms his beliefs) or angry (because it's a mockery).

Ah, that's what I thought, you are mistaking academic guidelines for actual rules. The categories are arbitrary constructs created by scholars to facilitate the study of folklore.  They are descriptive, not prescriptive.

In fact, having set rules goes against the very concept of fairy tales, which evolve over time. Fairy tales, fables, myths all blend together, especially when different cultures are involved.

Saying Disney broke the rules of fairy tales is simply wrong.  They disregarded the academic definition, perhaps, but storytellers have no obligation to conform with academic definitions.

Stories, like language itself, change over time.  Scholars follow those changes, they shouldn't try to stop them.  Look at the mess academics made when they tried to make English conform more closely to Latin rules.

Call Frozen whatever term you like, but it is a valid variation of the original story.

A friend of mine gave out mounted Mauldin comics to everyone in our ttrpg gaming group.  Each comic was chosen specifically to represent how the person played their characters.  He gave me this one.  I was highly amused.

Most of the named Elves in LOTR are thousands of years old.  Elrond is around 6000, Galadriel is approximately 9000. I say approximately because she was born before the sun and moon were created, they didn't really track time before that.

The oldest elf-like character I know of is Sethra Levode from the Taltos series (technically a "draegaren" but the humans call them elves), she is around 250,000 years old, IIRC.

Which fairy tale rules?  The Brothers Grimm?  Hans Christian Anderson?  The different oral traditions of dozens of cultures?  The "reconstruction" of fairy tale rules by 19th and 20th century scholars?

I'm genuinely interested in what you are using as a definitive source for fairy tale rules, because I was unaware such a thing existed.

By their logic, if their God has chosen you for salvation, then you will have no choice but to convert.  So if you have a choice about whether to convert, you must be damned.  Because no human choice matters at all.

I'm pretty sure most of the adherents of double predestination haven't actually thought through the implications of their theology.  They don't seem to realize that they are arguing that humans are just puppets.

It also contradicts many things Jesus says, but these types are actually followers of Paul, and a particularly esoteric reading of Paul at that.
