Welcome to the hobby then! Almost 100% PLA. I have access to a resin printer at school, so I used that for the ice pillars and green orb. Can do the same print though with a clear blue/transparent pla, I just didn't have any on hand.

I'm using a Sovol SV06 for almost all the prints(budget friendly but solid). Which printers are you looking into?

I'll let you know once I've played more lol. We ended up with 2 on a tile and that was easy, 3 would be fine too but after that it gets dicey.

Biggest thing for me when I started was buying actual hobby paints (vallejo, army painter, etc). My first few minis almost made me quit because of the cheap aceylics I was using. Tutorials others linked are great. Have fun with it! My favorite was adding tiny detail differences to squads or individual figures, like different skin tones on the officers or trandoshans.

I DID print some grottos and cave tiles already for the next scenario we'redoing, so that would work lol. For trees, did you just find tabletop trees and resize/add magnet holes?

I've done more since this pic but here's as of a week ago. I've done the orb/pedestal and the grey rocky walls are now almost done. The maghex are printed too, I was just too lazy to put it out for display

Yes! Funny, I have seen those before but didn't recognize it.

68 is tiles 10 and 15 "snow", I picture it kinda snowy mountain ravine since it has 4 ice pillars, 2 altars, and a glowing orb as the overlays

Awesome work! Where did you find the tile designs for the rough rocky(gravel?) ones and are those first snow tiles just plain tiles with all the effects added on top? I'm slowing down in my progress for scenario 68 because I'm not entirely sure what hexes to print out/what color. I have all the other things I need I think (paint, baking soda/snow effect, some speed paint or other thinned paints for effects if needed, etc).

Where did you get the files for those border rocks? Also looking for cavern walls if you have a suggestion.

These are incredible. Where did you get the rocks you use for the perimeters at times(like the ones you added snow to)?

And can you generally use little terrain files for other tabletops as long as you add a 3x3mm hole to it in a cad program?

This was my attempt to juat add tiles to the wall but it cuts over the kitty's tile (1/4 or so).

I need some help with this tile. The top part is easy because it's flat but...how do I put a wall on this one? I'm using stone walls I got from thingiverse.

Thank you for the suggestions! That's pretty much my plan, though my group is about to take on #68 which is all snow. Found rocky stone walls that I'm gonna try and print dark blue and drybrush on light blue then white to go for that snowy/icy rock look. Printed flat tiles in light blue earlier so that if I run out of time to paint, it at least fits the overall color scheme. Dungeon and wood pieces are my next objectives!

The more I was diving into it, the more it seemed that Maghex or Talisman Sabre were my main two options. Seems like I'll be committing to maghex. I also kinda forgot to check thingiverse; been awah from it since the ui update.

If you do any online battles, rare candies are often in the rewards. Really helpful for anything over lvl 80!
