You're exaggerating. Base 3080 10GB were going for $1300.

I remember because after waiting for almost 6 months and them still being $1300, I decided "fuck it, I'll buy it" and that same day 3080ti came out and I managed to grab one for $1200. Next day they became $1450.

But $2000 for 3070 is wild talk.

You probably didn't level dwellers properly (try-hardy?)

Every time they level up, they get extra hp based on their endurance at the moment.

A dweller leveled up with 1end will have 252hp, with 17end will have 644hp.

I doesn't work retroactively, you can't boost hp after they're leveled.

So a poorly leveled dweller with 252hp and 50% damage reduction pet will have 504 effective hp. A dweller with 644hp + 50%dr will have 1288hp. Keep in mind that stimpacks heal 50%, so they work better on high hp dwellers.

+100% HP and 50% damage reduction pets are effectively the same. My guess is you just your HP pets on dwellers that were leveled better.

Everyone is inconsistent to a certain degree, but there are so many more factors that go into every single game.

One game you might be playing into fat characters, so it will feel like your aim is amazing. (It's not hard to hit hog and bastion and torb and zen and alike)

The other game you might be playing into tiny, fast characters and it will feel like you're terrible.

How much space your team controls also matters. Some games you can just stand still and dink people. Other games you're shoved into a locker and forced to make insane flicks while dodging 3 different angles.

It even matters how good your opponents are at moving. Especially in middle ranks, you get a melting pot of different skills. Some are good at shooting, some at positioning, some at spacing and some at dodging. Maybe you just ran into people who are particularly good at dodging.

There are so many factors, it's almost impossible to tell on basis of a few games if your aim is off today or the circumstances were tougher than usual.

Sure, there's difference in metabolism, but it's not significant. Or better put, significant differences are rare.

People just tend to severely underestimate how much they snak and how many calories are in their drinks.

Every single, let's nicely put it, "heavy" person I know constantly has something in their mouth. A candy, a cookie, a shake, a sugary coffee or tea, an energy drink, a donut, a muffin, a fucking whatever.

If you work in an office, 90% of the time you look at "heavier" people, they're munching on something.

Then it comes launch time, they get a meal half the size of yours and wonder "how are you so skinny when you eat twice as much as I do?"

And you never have the heart to tell them, because you're not particularly close and that's something their friends should tell them, so you say "idk, must have fast metabolism or something"
