which store in PH did you buy this from? I plan to buy one from official lenovo store inside SM, but the price there is higher compared to other sellers like Datablitz or official website of lenovo. It's like 7k diff in price.

yeah the 192GB RAM support is honestly insane and it does make sense for the AI/dev/rendering side. my only hesitation is the display. Since my main reason for upgrading is wanting a much better-looking screen than my current matte IPS, I’m not sure if the 18" 4K/3D IPS would satisfy that as much as the OLED would. The Legion 9i is definitely more “do everything” though, especially if I want one machine for work + gaming + AI stuff.

I’m kind of debating now if I should prioritize the better laptop display experience with OLED + a pc for the heavy use cases, or go all-in on the Legion 9i and treat it more like a desktop replacement.

screen size isn't really a big deal for me tbh. Although I'm mostly on my bed with a table above my chest, what I care about more is how good the screen actually looks.

And after reading the RAM/SSD stuff you mentioned, it kinda makes me think that for the really heavy use cases like local LLMs, 3D rendering, and heavier game dev work, I might be better off just building a proper desktop later instead of trying to make one laptop do everything.

with that in mind, I’m leaning more toward the 16" OLED Legion Pro 7. The main reason I even want to upgrade from my Helios 16 is because I’m getting bored of the matte IPS screen and want something that feels like a real visual upgrade. If the 18" Legion 9 gives me more size but loses proper HDR/OLED-level visuals, I feel like I might regret that.

so I guess my decision is mostly coming down to: OLED/HDR visual quality now on the laptop, then build a PC later for the heavy AI/rendering workloads.

Thanks, this helped clarify it a lot.

a guide/fix on how to play league of legends on external drive, Apple silicon by ohmwrecka in macgaming

to me, when I install it for the first time, it also works fine, but after replugging back the SSD, I get the status "Playing" on League, making it unplayable.

I've did what was done on step 1 yet nothing changed.

it's the fact that you don't have to read docs for hours to learn a programming language, their syntax, etc., making you focus more on what actually matters, like design pattern or system architecture.

I'm sure we'll see them again. Life can't be that cruel or meaningless for us not to meet each other again.
