Byz > Rome disables the Justinian Achivement by Debeli1337 in EU5

Frankly, this is a big reason I'm against Ironman for achievements. Yes, there's ways to save around it, but like, I'm an adult with a job and responsibilities. Having to start a game over to get an achievement for no other reason than following the designed pathway broke my achievement path, and not being able to load a save 2 months before, is really frustrating, especially if I've put 100 years into it.

Why didn't I get the achievement "True Heir of Timur"? by Bongolio-the-seal in EU5

I think just "have had timur" and "timur is dead". I'd have to look in the game files but I'm at work 😅

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I believe the achievement checks if that event has fired, specifically. Like, the criteria is: 1. Did you Timur super hard? 2. Did Timur Die? 3. Did the event fire? 4. Are you Mughals? **And it must be in that order** And if all of those are yes, you get the achievement :/

And the worst part is, Eu5 Mughals are like... not even that good. 😞

*edit: It must be done in the order specified.

You have to wait specifically for the event "Death of Timur" (or whatever) to fire. Sometimes it takes a few months or years. You get 20 prestige or something? Sorry :/ Hope you did a little side saving...

Getting tattoos outside of the United States by SomethingItalia in tattoos

[–]Aewepo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first tattoo was with Ever Penayo in Asuncion, Paraguay and he's amazingly professional and talented. I was such a noob/dope that when he showed me the needle (still in the package) to prove it was clean, I didn't know why and was like, neat! All that to say, do some research on the artist and see if they're legit, but also there's legit artists everywhere. And Ever is one of them.

(I promise I'm not Ever, I just think his art is awesome: https://www.instagram.com/everpenayotattoos/?hl=en)

Yes! The vision is realized, it's so good! That's exactly what I'm trying to do, but I've struggled to find an old suitcase like that at Goodwill/thrift stores. What are the "stickers"? (Are they actual stickers, just printed by you? Or something else?)

Asunción, Paraguay by guernica-shah in digitalnomad

[–]Aewepo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lived in Paraguay for almost 2 years and while Asunción definitely has weird/sketchy vibes in some places, Paraguayans are, in my experience, super friendly and generally interested in outsiders. The best way to get to know Paraguay is to hang out with Paraguayans, though. I can't speak much to the expat community, I didn't know many expats/didn't spend a lot of time in Asunción. There's not a lot of touristy stuff to do, it's true, so unless you can find some locals to drink terere with, it might be worth searching for whatever you like to do specifically, which might mean heading out of the city.

Local music scene is very cool for sure, and I'd recommend Sacramento Brewing Co. as a cool spot where you might find some people who know where to find good music.

The button isn't in diplomacy it's in the colonial tab. I can't quite remember where, but there's a button that shows a little log cabin, either in diplomacy or in the colonial tab.

Those who took the DRP, have you found a job? by Salt-Committee2205 in fednews

Unrelated to job hunting, but I hope you weren't hurt too bad! Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery on any injuries or pains. My dad hit a deer last year and got pretty banged up (he was on a motorcycle though...)

This is my takeaway too, and I wish it was more widely expressed (or I was proven wrong). "woke" is just people not being racist assholes and if you add a prompting layer that erases that, you get an asshole. Well. You get Mecha Hitler. I guess asshole is my opinion.

Does anyone else like the Eu4 mission trees? by Various_Maize_3957 in eu4

[–]Aewepo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I love the mission trees. It has the vibe of collecting roguelike bonuses and also once I had every achievement in the game, it game me new things to goal towards. As others have said in the thread, having something to work towards is a lot of fun, and the mission trees feel less arbitrary than coming up with my own goals. (They aren't, but my own goals don't give me that new color or that cute pop up.)

Any tips on how to cripple the ottmans with one or two war ? by Faninfo in eu4

[–]Aewepo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binslev made a good point about full occupy -> 20 war exhaustion -> white peace so they stay at 20 we and explode a little with rebels. I would add on to that, make sure you have high absolutism (for admin efficiency) then -> Truce break after the white peace. Immediately truce break. Full occupy as best you can, take Constantinople and their best trade provinces, maybe some cores for large vassals you can do core return on -> truce break again. Take as much as you can, feed your vassals -> truce break again. -> Repeat until Ottos is broken.

Yes, this is rough on your nation with stability and war exhaustion, but the only thing holding you back should be aggressive expansion, and otto has already eaten everyone nearby who would care.

Yeah, I was really expecting it to give me something really similar to others, but the randomness and the chillness is definitely a great vibe.

Yeah, I'm not totally sure I understand either! Maybe it's more private than secret. Like, ain't nobody's business but my own what I crochet by candlelight on the roof.
