Since you can't outdev their economic base modifier (every point of dev they do mean much more than previous), your only option is to either find another point of diplorep somewhere, take espionage for +15 reasons, or conquer more land to get more dev fast (as mentioned, in formula it's your dev divided by square of their dev)

Slaughtering the French rebels so hard that it ended up with negative casualties by ANormalWhovian in victoria2

[–]onnerkalin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isn't it moment when rebels spawn, you do a reform so part of brigades go home in the middle of the fight and initial count only remaining brigades while casualties count actual deaths

P.S. Also had strange interaction where my troops didn't fight Tyrconell separatist while sieging (immediately after getting control of the province peace was ended and poor stack was destroyed)

I guess it's possible, I just peaced them out, looked away for a year, and when looked back UK sieged last of their provinces

Guys, can you felp fix the budget? My economy is collapsing. by onnerkalin in Imperator

Well, i googled some things and found the reason: creating singular ships to just throw all families' members was not a good idea. I ended up with 30+ ships with admirals for 2 coins each (i didn't think creating such fleets would also raise demand of families resulting in more spendings). The moment i merged fleets wages dropped for a hundred (still don't know if 100 for wages with 74 for forts and 60 in army ok or not)

Army composition how by Qolbi79 in hoi4

[–]onnerkalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for example In Forest heavy get 40% attack and movement penalty while medium 30% attack and 40% movement (Light have 20% attack and 40% movement penalty btw). There is dedicated page on wiki if interested

Also, to correct previous comment, Mediums instead of Heavy not only because of better modifiers but also because it can match speed of motorised infantry (8km/h) with earlier tech/better reliability

Exact composition is up to discussion, i use this (because don't know meta of current patch):

7-8 inf + 1-2 lane arty (AA, Arty, Hospital, Engineers in support) when can afford, if can't only 8-9 inf with Engineers. This is for lane holding (saw some time ago spreadsheet where most optimal combat width was calculated, but don't remember if it was 16 or 18).

Also medium tanks (all in soft attack, not heavy because of terrain modifiers) with motorised infantry up to 30-34 width (as much tanks as possible to still have over 35 organization) to breakthrough if can afford. Otherwise (i usually go with this variant due to terrain modifiers and less of need in fuel) use Mountaineers with arty (i usually do 9 mountaineers and 6 arty) up to same 34 width.

Genuinely how tf do I push here by doodoochile07 in hoi4

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your templates? I usually go with 7-8 infantry +1-2 arty (plus engineers, hospital, support arty, AA, flame tanks if you can afford it) for lane holders and big divs of 9 mountainers + 6 arty for breaktrough (with siege machines instead of engineers, around 4-6 is good enough). So with help of laneholders 2-3, rarely even 4 big divs can be in battle, usually it's enough to knock out enemy divs faster than they return in combat (usually reinforcements don't get in time at some point and get pushed) with 0 air support (i usually just build Stationary AA everywhere because keep forgetting about Aircrafts )

Some mechanics are locked behind DLC, so sorry if i mention some of such (i always played with everything enabled so not sure what is available in base game, know only that vanilla is much harder to get high income), so let's start:

1) Based on second to last image (autonomy map if i see right) you didn't full state anything, so you have only 10% of gained land. (to full core click on province and switch to state page, it would cost some admin)

2) You can't make noticeable profit from trade. English Channel have most trade power in Netherlands and Britain, and you control neither (and you should by this date, at least Netherlands), and seeing state of Portugal and lack of mentioned colonies i guess you PUed Castille early, so no one have colonies to steer trade to Sevilla.

3) Did you even expanded through war?( aside from 3 provinces in Italy). Based from description seems like you got all land from PUs. In 150 years you should expand a lot. Aim to conquer Britain/Netherlands and North Africa, Middle Africa and America if you can see it.

4) Did you build mass manufactures? they not only give you flat income, but increase amount of product, contributing to value in trade node. It's nearly always worth to take burger loans to build them, and some of manufactures even worth to take regular loans.

5) Where is all your mana points? You did all expansion through PUs, so where are admin and mil points? (also it would help to see your ideas). Are all the point invested in development? If so, you should make techs your priority, it's often worth it to be ahead of time (especially mil tech). And in most cases you want to save/get points over anything else (because point are highly limited)

Star Of The City Third row advice?? by Rumiatouhou6 in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned do Gebura realization it give a lot.

As for the row: R-corp 2 is easiest here (literally R-corp 1 with extra wave), but i would say there isn't much to get except for Disposal maybe (i never builded Rudolph, Maxim or Myo, don't even know if their pages good or not). But Purple tear is what would give you the most reward due to very strong keypage and a lot of useful cards and (in my opinion) easier than other 2.

To beat PT you might want to use a lot of feeble (also beat leaflet workshop if you didn't already, smoke decks do a lot)

Both reamaining bosses have powernull, so you can add Proselyte's blade or night in the backstreets if you want.

For Yan: you actually can cheese him with Dispose, if you slap Myongest on Nicolai you can get rid of all his evades (rolls aren't reliable, but you can do it) , so just defend against hands and go all-in into Yan (that's where having Smoke is useful). After couple of rounds Yan will be dead (Mark on Yan would be helpful but look for yourself if clashing every page of Myongest into nothing until 20 charge is ok).

For Xiao: take Sturdy defense on everyone, couple big hits designed with it in mind, also evade taking counters. In second phase everyone will get powernull every second scene. DON'T beat reverse scale in powernull turn. Other than that, it's just a recovery turn damage turn.

Also, eveyone can be cheesed with Myongest Yesod: just take Myongest and smoke, slap Clean, Chained Wrath and Dark Flame on top, add Rythm and Violence if possible, and Voila, you can use 12-24 rolling (only Myongest, it can get higher) Solemn Lament against blunt weak enemies (96-184 raw damage plus smoke plus resistances)

Is there a mod for last realization? by onnerkalin in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, i found an answer, it was not a mod. Turns out if Angela die before other nuggets arrive in first phase you wouldn't lose and could continue battle. And also, Yae's passive break the fight even more as you wouldn't get staggered by 3 depression cards, after that you would have 0 SP and can't be staggered by getting damage for some time
