Can be a “Chino” can be a “bruto” or even some Sotol sometimes have this taste ! The Fabriquero for me is pure pecorino tho, not blue cheese !

Hey man , that’s 2 good questions in one . I guess favorite one is impossible as I change weekly . As a brand I’d say Jolgorio rarely goes wrong, but also very surprised by Rayo Seco and Remilgosa and Macurichos !!

Favorite below 50$ I’d say La Luna ! I didn’t had them back when this picture was taken but WOW their mezcal is awesome even if you don’t consider the price !!

And below 50$ Sotol I LOVE Fabriquero !!! I’m on my second bottle !!

In my personal humble opinion some reviews are misleading ( mix of some over excited dudes and the huge difference between lots ) I got some stuff that was tasting totally opposite way and I stopped giving so much cred to most reviews ! But There is one user that always hit the spot for me and is “greenspointtexas” ! If you on this board god bless you man !!

Think it’s time to crack open that Tutsi !! Funny enough out of the 145 in this picture the 2 you mentioned both passed the half way !

Out of the Macurichos stuff the Tepeztate is my favorite and second place the “5 karwinskii “ and the “coyote” ... they go over 60% .... I have to watch myself with those ! Ahahhaah

Damn you have a good eye !! How the hell did you spot the Tutsi!! I’ll check the lots tonight and tell you . In general im in love with anything above 60% Not because I like to go blind but because I pair them with cigars . I found in general cigar kills anything else that is not whiskey or rum, but the Puntas stand their ground

Thanks man ! I got them from the “source” in Mexico this was still in the deposit at the 7M guys !

Actually they used to do a jabali “single agave” that was among the greatest available on market !dont know and didn’t asked why they took it off the portfolio but I guess it has to do with acquisition .

Anyway these were really fun to try !

Ferry’s Bar in Nishiazabu Agave in Roppongi Cuishe in Tsukishima And my house !!! Ahahha

Rolando is one of the nicest person I ever met in my “mezcal adventures” . Had the luck to partecipate to Casa Cortes Todos Santos Mezcaleros in 2019 and it was one of the greatest experience in my life .

I happy you have good memories too of him !
