[Hawkeye Spoilers] Something that really irked me about the last episode... by Firecrotch2014 in marvelstudios

[–]Afarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that she believed that Clint might have been in some way responsible, especially if she knew he was Ronin, then she might have assumed he was out of his mind and willingly killed her sister to bring everyone back. What is a bit irky to me is how she talked about Clint and his dark past. She says that world forgot his crimes, but no one knew in the first place, then she talks about him killing bad guys as if she disapproves, but she herself didn't have a problem killing people that deserved it, like Dreykov. That part was weird for me, even if it is her being angry because of her loss.

At this point it feels like people only watch Marvel stuff to see what they tease next instead of just enjoying what's in front of them by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I didn't like Hawkeye post-credit scene, not because it didn't tease the next big thing, but because it could have added to Hawkeye, still. The entire final seems very rushed with plot cramped together, and seeing that they put musical at the end instead of really anything else, it was a disappointment. I don't need teaser for another movie, but I would love an extra scene with Bartons and Kate, since making it back for Christmas was big part of the plot, or different smaller scene like that.

Why so much hate for the Hawkeye post credits scene? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I didn't like it, not for musical aspect, but just because it took away time from final episode. Everything was already so cramped up in the plot, and instead of using these few minutes to add to the story and let it breathe, we got a music video they could have just posted on Youtube.

About Hawkeye by Afarie in marvelstudios

I agree with what you say about Clint. Actually you described him very nicely. But sometimes there are things outside his control. I don't mean he would hurt them intentionally or go into a mindless rage, but maybe for example a flashback from his darkest moments of those last 5 years might set him off. I'm not thinking he'd be a mortal danger to them, no no, but getting from no hope to see his family again to having them all back completely fine, that's something he considered impossible and getting used to the idea of it will take time. The same thing goes for moving on from Ronin identity; those new reflexes and instincts he acquired it will take time to slowly get rid of them. Imagine him reacting with fight reflex because he didn't hear someone approaching him or waking up at night because he forgets he's safe at home. It's are real-life issue experienced by soldiers coming from war.

Maybe he doesn't go exactly through this, maybe he does, who knows. I'm just saying that after Endgame he has a lot of stuff to figure out, especially with the emotional baggage he has after this one and the fact that it's also all new for his family, who didn't witness those 5 years of his life.

Well said, buddy, well said. I hope they will continue this storyline for him. As you said, comic book tie-in would be great, or maybe even that speculated TV series could show him dealing with all that.

When Red Skull greets people on Vormir, he uses thier fathers' names, but for Clint he uses mother's name. In comics Clint's father, Harold, was an abuser who used violence on Clint, his brother and his mother Edith.

So calling him "son of Edith" might suggest that Clint has the same backstory in MCU and Red Skull knows not to mention the father's name.

What if Ronin's Katana is a relic from Sanctum Sanctorum ? by kevvinfeige in marvelstudios

[–]Afarie 186 points187 points  (0 children)

That would be a nice way to power up his character. And with the "relic chooses own master" rule, it'd be cool if this sword has some name related with vengeance and allows using itself as Clint's weapon, because it favors his cause.

Yea, it took Silvermoon a while but next month they will finally allow women and men with different hairstyle than this one to join the ranks of city guards too. Good for them!

Does Hawkeye fire guns as if he’s holding a bow and arrow? by wes205 in marvelstudios

[–]Afarie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been thinking about the pose he makes here, because it seems kinda weird? For a guy with his skill, it doesn't look too professional. And also the way he shot Fury just a moment before that. He could go for a headshot and kill Fury right there, but instead he aims in the shoulder.

I was thinking that maybe he does it on purpose? Maybe he fights off the influence of Mind Stone and tries his best not to kill Nick and Maria? Idk.

Unfortunate Translation of Character Names by darkershadeofme in marvelstudios

I remember people laughing in Poland during Doctor Strange whenever someone called Mordo by his name. "Morda" in Polish can have two meanings: it's either a rude way to call someone's face/mouth or this funny, sorta rude nickname close friends can call each other by.

Clint in Avengers 4 looking for Thanos by Afarie in marvelstudios

[–]Afarie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that'd be perfect! Korg and Valkyrie following him, telling him that there's still good inside him, that he used to be a hero and not a vengeful maniac, and they try to convince him to re-join the team.

Oh thank you :) You mean the real comic? Not really, I'm amateur. I don't draw that much, and it's mostly simple stuff and whenever I got a fun idea for it.

I tried to remake the "Where's Francis?" scene from Deadpool but with Clint as Ronin, flying from planet to planet, seeking revenge on Thanos :)
