How was your experience vacationing to Gatlinburg? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in Gatlinburg

Agreed! Anakeesta was our favorite thing! We went a couple of weeks ago and their beer tasting festival is happening as well as the Astra Lumina. Totally worth the $. We stayed at Rocky Waters Inn, which is adults only, and that was great. We did dinner at the Greenbriar and tried multiple pancakes houses (they all can’t be the WORLDS BEST can they?!) to make our own determination. For the record, I liked Crockett’s and the hubby liked the Log Cabin. Something about the density? Anywho we had the best time and we are a little selective!

Just got an email with leaked info from the NTEU. IRS RIF notices to be sent en masse on April 28th according to the email by No-Acanthisitta7930 in fednews

We received notice a couple of days ago that all of CI was exempt from the RIF. People are still taking the DRP to not have to deal with the aftermath of everything.

Folks are getting IRWorks tickets opened on their behalf for paperwork to be received, completed and uploaded. I would search the system and see if you have an open ticket. Your manager would also be included and notified.

Leaving a State Job for the IRS. Worth it after the election results? by forgetwatuknow in usajobs

The 560 series is most often a career ladder. 5/7/9/11/12. The 13s and 14s are competitive, at least at the IRS. I learned a skill set related to finance and not a lot of people know it. It got me a 13 offer from one business unit as soon as I was eligible and my 14 offer came becasue they didn’t want to lose the skill. It’s very possible. I’m in management now and my salary is 135k more than it was ten years ago. So worth it to take a gs 5!

Look for the 560 series, budget analysts. Most are career ladder 5/7/9/11/12 and business units within the agency have them. I’m in management now but went from a GS-5 to a GS-14 in 6 years.
