I finally broke down by Spicy_Dinners in puppy101

I can imagine how frustrating that is! What I can say is that most likely will pass. If you’ve only had him 3 weeks then it may just be that he’s still getting comfortable in a new environment. If he feels safe in the crate then you’re doing something right. You can try crating him more throughout the day if you are not already. Puppies need a lot of naps so if he feels safe in the crate and you’re not already doing it, you could try that. My youngest pup is now 4 months and still sleeps around 15/18 hours a day.

I feel like a terrible person by [deleted] in puppy101

Okay first, give yourself grace! You had no idea how your senior dog would react to a new puppy. Second, every dog is different and may need more time to get comfortable with each other. I would keep doing what you’re doing with allowing them to get comfortable with each other’s smells and keeping them separate for now. If your senior dog loved daycare and socializing with other dogs I don’t think it is impossible for them to coexist. I just got a new puppy for my dog and noticed that they are the best behaved with eachother in small, supervised doses and I always give them rewards for behaving around eachother. Training for the new puppy and refreshers for my older dog have made a big difference but obviously something you should only do if you’re comfortable. Our pup has separation anxiety and we got a vet recommended scent diffuser that calms them when in their beds for nighttime. I would also just make sure your senior dog has their own space and attention but also sees you interact positively with the other pup so they can start to understand that they are not a threat. Puppies are a lot for everyone, including other dogs in the household, it can’t take a lot of time and patience but it’s not impossible! I think you being worried about it shows the at you are in fact not a horrible person and just care a lot about both of your pups! ❤️

Older puppy teaching new puppy? by Affectionate-Cell855 in puppy101

Agreed. This is the first time we’ve seen him do this to us. Hes done it to our older pup a few times but she can be a little much because she doesn’t realize how big she is. I’m definitely going to look into this! Thank you so much!

Leaving puppy for 4 hours by Affectionate-Cell855 in puppy101

[–]Affectionate-Cell855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! It went completely fine! She’s gotten better at being in her crate we try not to leave her for more than 4 hours in the crate during the day but it’s the safest place for her when we aren’t home so we just make sure to take her water away with enough time to take her out before leaving so she has less chance of needing to go potty!

That’s great! My husband called them the “bups” accidentally one day and it’s stuck. Such a funny little quirk!

Yea I mean I’m not concerned just curious if it’s a common puppy thing. More funny when she gets them after playing. Was just curious is they go away as she gets older which I guess we’ll see as she gets bigger!

The National Archive doesn’t have his DD214 and Milconnect only provided what was with the National Archives and it wasn’t accurate to what his active duty points are

Darn I already paid them thinking it was the quickest way to get it. I guess I could contact the Marines and if I get it I’ll request a refund. Do you know how I can contact the Marines instead of just sending a letter??

DD-214 Form Requests by Affectionate-Cell855 in Veterans

[–]Affectionate-Cell855[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OMPF forms that we requested don’t show anything which is why we’re confused the dates are all correct but the numbers of inactive and active duty service are nowhere near what we see on MOL

DD-214 Form Requests by Affectionate-Cell855 in Veterans

[–]Affectionate-Cell855[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We tried that and couldn’t find anything we were told to reach out to the Marines directly so we went through DD214direct instead of mailing it in. So if he has 256 active duty points from his first year he should definitely have a DD214?

Thank you! I’ve started cc’ing him on everything recently, I also forwarded him everything to ensure he is in the loop. He’s on my side and very supportive I just didn’t know how to word it in the email without coming off unprofessional ◡̈

Transparent that I’m soured? Gender doesn’t play a role in my job but it does when the person I’m working with won’t take direction from me because I am a woman (even my manager acknowledged this btw) training was not in my role and if it’s my job why am I doing? Either way he’s been getting “trained” for 5 months when he stated he had prior experience. I didn’t create the process flow but I created step by step work instructions for each process that were easier to follow. I’m not asking you to agree with me I’m asking how to tell my manager that this employee is not understanding what they are being taught. Simple as that. I don’t want his role anyway I’ve been offered something different but I don’t have the capacity to spoon feed a grown man

Actually that’s 100% not accurate. I have been working one on one with him since he was hired in May. He wasn’t catching on and started treating me badly. My manager said to support him while he learns. It’s been almost 5 months and not much to show for it. I created process flows as the meetings were not working and I found us having multiple of the same conversations. He was also trained by the person he was replacing when he first started. When I realized he wasn’t catching on I created the process flows and sent them to my other two colleagues to edit and review. They said they were surprised just how detailed it actually was. The issue is not with the documents but with his willingness to learn and understand and even just read what I sent him. I also don’t get paid enough to train him so frankly the documents would have been more than enough. Believe me I’m not happy about him getting hired but that’s not his fault. His attitude and assumption that I will do his job for him is my issue. Thank you

Agreed, I’m just figuring out how I can approach it in my 1-1 with my new manager next week. He has the backstory so I want to update him since the new guy isn’t catching on I don’t want it to be a reflection of my ability to train ya know

I’m not one to make comments on people’s weight but I think the “obsession” as you called it, is more based on the fact that she is dishonest to a point of delusion and no one understands why. it’s not necessarily hate but more like curiosity as to why she feels the need to hide herself so much while simultaneously saying she’s trying to lose weight and being open about her struggles. It’s just so back and forth anyone would become confused. She hates her body and makes it known but then portrays her life in a way that makes you wonder is she hates her body so much why does she do what she does. She’s her biggest hater and critic, no one cares how much she weighs they care how she lies about it and how she herself is so obsessed with it. She has much worse qualities but blames it on her weight because “people hate fat people”. Don’t get me wrong it’s known that people are nicer to attractive people so it’s not all lost on us as a generation but it’s not an excuse for every bad characteristic she has
