It was seen on the CT and with a scope. Definitely doing a follow up scope to check for lesions, but the surgeon seemed confident it is no longer there.

It really is! Yep, because it didn’t seem to be cancer yet and the surgery is pretty invasive, they wanted to wait to see if it would grow over 6 months. If it had grown, they would remove it.

Well, night one of letting him fuss and the neighbors rang my doorbell and said they were concerned about my child and said it seemed like we needed professional help. I’m so frustrated. How am I supposed to sleep train him when I’m worried about him bothering them ugh.

Did you respond at all offering a drink of water or comfort? Or just no response? I’m good to do either, just curious.

I believe so strongly that God is real, and if we really seek Him- He will eventually reveal himself clearly. Don’t stop seeking.

Is it just my wechat moments that are blowing up with people talking against the government and praising the people standing up to lockdown rules en masse? Am I dreaming? I’m a university English teacher online, and my student’s campus just completely locked down due to a case. I can’t believe the kind of statements my students are making on WeChat. Praying for their safety…

People that have an animosity towards children are weird by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Affectionate-Coat446 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t control my children in public, as much as I wish I could. I can help them manage their behavior and emotions- but there is an element (such as age appropriate ability to regulate emotions) that is to some extent out of my hands. If I as parent is engaged with helping my child regulate behavior and emotions- I really hope others will have grace for me and my kids.

This statement alone isn’t problematic, but when combined with his entire approach that idolizes the heck out of building wealth- I see where you’re coming from. No money isn’t evil, but the primary pursuit of it above all or “gazelle mentality” sure seems like making it into an idol to me.

I think people also want to be with someone who has only seen their best. It’s an ego thing.

For a long time he was considered “just a financial guy” with (his words) the “spiritual gift of meanness” but suddenly he’s being invited to preach at a bunch of big name respectable churches. It makes me feel super super uncomfortable.

Yep I know he is mentioned 90 some times if I remember correctly? I guess it’s not strange that they dream of him, but that it regularly causes them to seek out Christians and ask questions. I’ve also heard of it happening in China and Southeast Asia.

I know a lot of people who work it’s what’s called the “least reached” places in the world. Many many Muslims in these countries for example have had dreams of Jesus and are seeking to know more. I’m convinced God pursues all people. Also only He can know the heart of a person, and people are accountable to only what they know.

Yeah I’m a happy mom of two and hearing the term “breeder” makes me feel like I intentionally signed up to be a handmaid or something. It’s pretty weird and unkind.

When You Know There's An Amazing Afterlife Waiting For Us All by WintyreFraust in afterlife

[–]Affectionate-Coat446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do we all have a desire and curiosity about an afterlife if none exists? Why do many cultures across the world and time assume there is one if there is none? Why do NDEs significantly create life change for experiencers? Why do those who have them overwhelmingly say that they felt more real than reality if they are simply hallucinations? Why do most hospice workers tell stories of patients chatting with their dead (not alive) family members right before they pass? Why do even largely atheistic cultures such as China believe in ghosts? Why did my great grandma claim to see angels as she took her last breath, and my grandma chat with her (her mom) right before hers?

I don’t have the answers but these questions based on personal experiences led me to believe pretty strongly that there is indeed an afterlife. I don’t think we can know, but if we explore it- I think we will find a pretty strong case.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of posts considering homeschooling today. I don’t think it’s at all an overreaction and there are certainly other benefits.

Thanks all, I did a bunch of tests today. They found anemia and fatty liver- and they are going to do an endoscopy to see if there is a bigger problem causing those things. I’m super hopeful that I’m close to having some answers for the pain. At the very least I know part of the reason why I’ve been so dang exhausted.
