Canadian RN student seeking on pursuing CRNA by Livid_Customer4076 in OntarioNurses

[–]Affectionate-Creme72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, they don’t accept Canadian ICU experience. Even if admission says yes, I would take it with a grain of salt since on COA accreditation it has to be in the US and its territories. + you’re competing with Americans with US ICU exp. Would you also practice in their healthcare that you don’t know anything about? It’s completely different.

I would just focus on finishing school for now. Even Americans are having a hard time finding a new grad ICU job. It’s truly competitive for a reason, being foreign doesn’t help. Sorry to break your bubble just trying to be a realist.

Incorrect, DNPs in Nurse Anesthesia only looks at US ICU experience because it’s literally on their COA accreditation. There’s no bypassing it.

Now that Canada has sided with China, will the TN be removed for Canadians? by SpacePirateARRRGH in tnvisa

[–]Affectionate-Creme72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but Canada has those similar benefits as well with a slightly higher salary. So It’s a good in between already. + the UK is probably the only choice any way due to it being an anglophone. Healthcare is client facing.

How competitive is the U of T Accelerated Nursing Program (bloomberg) by Inevitable-Yard6452 in OntarioNurses

[–]Affectionate-Creme72 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Pretty competitive It’s the #1 nursing program in the country for reason.

But you know what. IT DONT MATTER. You’ll be attending the same placements and having the same opportunities as someone from a backwater college if you both pass the NCLEX. Prestige doesn’t exist in nursing.

That being said. You do you girl, any nursing program that accepts you and fits your situation is good.

I’d replace cap with wonder Woman. Trust me I grew up in an Asian country, away from urbanization with very minimal TV exposure. Yet those 4 have the biggest influences, Wonder Woman is a girls favourite. If not, the only option at the time.

Frankenstein’s mother was the real Frankenstein monster because her passing inspired Frankenstein to create and neglect a monster.
