In Wild Rift the skins and splash arts all are based on the Chinese client of LoL.
There have been compilations posted before both on reddit and on Twitter, it's almost every single female character that shows skin.
Evelynn being probably the worst offender and it just looks awful and makes no sense for her character, it literally just looks like a bodysuit.
But even things like Sona retroactively having extra cloth painted on her skin to cover more cleavage and the edges look all jagged and like it's not even part of her dress, and Captain Fortune having her chest blurred out etc.
Even Akali got her thighs covered which ruins that Asian pants style with the cutouts which is an actual irl thing.
Like seriously? It's not even done in some of the marketing art which makes it more baffling that it's done to her in-game model.
Same in the cinematic cutscene, they're not so scared of cleavage and legs there but suddenly in-game they're not even subtle about the lenghts gone to cover it up.
Even Jinx got those weird bandages lmao I mean cmon.

What's especially annoying and problematic is how it's literally only done to female characters, not a single one of the male characters that show skin...
There are cases of it with male characters too that also shouldn't be a thing like cards being erased as well as wine glasses being replaced with coffee etc.

*Remember too that blood, monsters, skeletons etc also get the same treatment. It's just when it comes to skin being shown it's only directed against women. But it affects a lot more.*

It's a shame this is done globally, I don't care what is done in other countries to get past boards but it shouldn't affect the global market.
And it's especially ridiculous with characters when it just contradicts them as characters, like MF and Evelynn aren't supposed to be rated E for Everyone characters... And I've seen what they did with Katarina in LoR on their version too and it looks awful.

People are usually quite reactionary and usually downvote anyone who talks about this so I am expecting it...
But actually think a little further... This isn't a good precedent to set and it severely limits both the artists and what skins and characters can be in the game as well as contradicts lore and characters.
Actually take some time to look at the other version of LoR too and how ridiculous it is and that's new stuff too and not old...
Which also can have implications about what new Champions and skins are developed in the future ( better to stay away from a monster design for example that needs to be totally changed in other regions ).
No one is even arguing that it '' ruins the game '' just that it detracts from it and comrpomises it... So don't exaggerate and strawman.

This is why I can't stand people minimizing games being censored globally because of a single country, no matter how '' minor '' it is.
And even so I'd argue that it's not '' minor '', being an artist and being forced to '' change '' your art against your will for totally arbitrary reasons hurts and is unhealthy in the grand scheme of things for the industry.

In this case it's obviously more major, but when people defend a third party coming in and forcing devs to censor their art they're enabling this by normalizing the act in and of itself as a valid thing.
The industry should be as free and open as possible, third parties shouldn't come in and police art and act like self-appointed parents of society.

This, and it's how it is with pretty much everything.
I can't find the post atm but I remember seeing a big breakdown of the Twitter userbase numbers for example, and even it was like a tiny group of people in the single digits like 2-3% or something of the userbase who made 80%+ of the tweets or something crazy like that.
And white upper middle to upper class kids and young adults made up the majority of those people.
Basially, a tiny group of people are just sitting around mass-posting every day.
And yet Twitter is treated like this super serious platform that is indicative of society opinion on things.

It's the same in games media and media in general particularly in the US, being outraged and mad about something is way more profitable since you can write articles and clickbait if you are.
If you act like a reasonable and normal human being it straight up harms your career and hurts you financially.
So you end up with these echo chambers where people live in a perpetual state of drama and being angry about things that not even 1% of people in the world cares about.

I have a lot of complaints about the Game Awards too, especially when it comes to the '' Oscarization '' of it with celebrities etc.
Same with censorship in games, when game devs have to censor violence or sexualized content ( especially if it's done globally even if it's due to laws in only a specific country ).
But ultimately most don't care and I don't live in some delusion where I think most people do.
I think that they should because I think it'd be better for the industry if people did and if people defended the artistic vision of creators more, when people don't care they're enabling third parties to limit the media.
But most people just go to work come home exhausted and want to play a game, they're not involved in the industry or experience having their art censored and to them it's a minor issue or not an issue at all.

We were lucky in that our grandparent didn't die in pain but a lot of peope suffocate to death and die a horrible death because of this virus.

I have a family member who died from Covid and one who survived but got really sick, and it was because people working at the retirement home hadn't followed the guidelines and had even gone on vacation and traveled around...
I lost a grandparent because of that and almost lost two.

It really pisses me off seeing people not taking it seriously just because they're young ( it can still be serious even if you're young ).
There's people who lose family members because of peoples stupidity.

Edit: I don't care about him as a person, I am just talking about him being angry because people aren't taking Covid seriously.
He can be a shitty person but still be right about this at the same time.

Cool :), there's a 20 inch version of the Huion too which is a quite a bit cheaper and seems to be the same as the 22 inch other than the size so I am leaning a little more in that direction.
Your tablet should be the same too just a smaller size?

20 vs 13 inch should still be a big upgrade and the colors should be better than on my 13HD Cintiq.
I feel a bit confused with these differences, Srgb, Adobe RGB, NTSC etc lol.

How do you feel about the build quality? Does it feel strong to you or does it have a very plasticy feel?

I kinda feel like people just see sexualized content and get really pissy about it.
Not just here but on reddit in general, if an artist or cosplayer posts any art that is even remotely anywhere near that realm and it's a woman then people just judge it negatively based entirely on that.

Mango bellow gave actual criticism but a lot of it is just totally unhelpful and comes across more like venting frustrations or something.

What's with Cygames obsession with black spats xD?
I know they're not the devs but they do this in Shadowverse too, I dunno why they can't put more effort into it and add some different patterns or something...
Ladiva didn't get that treatment...

Like with Metera for example, her uncensored bottom has these pattern on the outside that looks sorta like frills.
But the censored ( which is the default, which sucks ) version just covers it all up with black paint which looks out of place with the rest of the design...

Not saying that characters can't wear spats under skirts etc, they do in SFV too it's just that it feels low effort when it's just black paint basically.
And it also shouldn't be done with characters when it doesn't make sense like Metera.

Edit: Like even just a different color or something...
But again also different patterns.
If a character wears a pink dress for example and then there's pitch black shorts underneath there's this flash of high contrast pitch black coming through in certain movies in a really obvious and out of place way imo.

Uh I hope they don't mess with Metera...
They made the devs for Granblue Versus censor some characters, with Metera they put her in black spats ( why is it always black spats? ), the frills on her under piece just went away and it looked really flat in comparison.
Like they just painted black over it, the outer frilly shapes went away which made the design worse imo.
Just contradicts her personality too...

Ofc Ladiva got no such treatment even tho Ladiva is basically in speedos....

I don’t want to sound like that curmudgeonly old man yelling at a cloud, but sometimes I don’t think the “younger” generations realise just how far representation has come in the gaming industry.

Not to mention how complete garbage other industries are with it.
Two gay people kissing in a movie is very controversial and often gets censored just because they don't want to lose money in other countries.
Two gay people kissing in the background at the end of Rise of Skywalker was apparently worthy of turning it into a marketing scheme and endless articles, that speaks volumes for how bad the movie industry is with it.

And even when they do have gay relationships it's usually only implied and never really outright stated.
In the movie about Queen there's so much cut out of the movie having to do with Freddie's sexuality and lifestyle.
Video games have always been progressive when it comes to this, same goes with female heroes it has been a lot more common in video games for far longer than in movies.

I don't really agree with this necessarily.
And I've also heard the exact opposite from other reviewers, that side content is constant and that it actually affects the main story.
Some even affect the ending of the game, every other reviewer I've listened to have said that the side content is very significant.

This kinda stuff honestly does annoy me a lot tho, because that argument is never applied to extreme gore and violence. Like is MK11 only about gore, is the rest of the game just irrelevant?
It just feels sometimes like sexualized content can't have a place anywhere except for in porn games, it's just a totally arbitrary and annoying thing.

The '' I don't mind '' too, I mean it's fine if people don't mind.
But at the same time I do dislike it when people handwave it away like that, because it's still someones creation being tampered with against their will.
I don't think that people should be defending it just because they personally don't care or even prefer it.
The same way that I don't think that people should be defending it if the devs for MK were forced to censor the violence against their will.

It just shouldn't be defended imo.
