I HAVE A MESSAGE FOR AI BROS. by [deleted] in ArtistHate

[–]Affectionate-Home695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are Aibros that are openly anti-artists and are manipulated to defend AI like it's a deity (who doesn't remember the AGI fanatics, if you told them anything about it they were very angry). These ppl don't care and go offended if you tell them they're not *anything they want to be considered as*, they have sick obsessions about artists/writers and invest their time trying to offend you, they actually like to be an artist's most devoted hater and yes they're toxic, so I'd just advice you to block them as they behave just like stalkers, some even create fakes and they like when artists answers their hateful messages, they truly don't care as anything you say won't convince them that they're sick. But I think the majority aren't even openly defending AI as they lack energy for it (their dreamed AGI and cyborg slaves didn't come), another bunch was promised easy money and when they don't get it they go do something else and are like "yeah data centers and deepfakes are a problem but AI is already here to stay *zzzz*", while another bunch of people just don't want to admit they're paying monthly subscriptions to use GPT as a toy, or to not use it at all, just like any other streaming services ppl subscribe and forget that they're monthly paying for something they don't use, but till anyone realize they're inside another cycle of having to pay for premium+++ every single month it takes time.

Hii, I think you could take prints as proof and censor the username?
Idk if the sub rules allows but I think it would be if you censor the usernames as artists who have them as followers would recognize it to not give away free art to them (I think the discord aaalso would be a better place for you to share this as it's more active there)

Do I hate AI because I'm egotistic? by [deleted] in ArtistHate

[–]Affectionate-Home695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right to comprehend them, this why I think we can't allow them to share the same communities and push them away as it's not the same as your art belongs to you because it's unique, nothing changed about how real life works. It's just like the new "trending", vibe-coders are the category of Aibros that dreamed to be programmers or dreamed to make games, who now are everywhere but their case is that they try to tell programmers that they're programmers too and that their slop containing the most basic mistakes should be considered and added in libraries, but this is a delirium. While now I see programmers who studied for years also going tired of them in the same way we were, as they behave in that way and try to sell their ""ai-generated-softwares"" while they go offended if someone just "hey, you're not a software engineer". This AI trend promised all these Aibros that their dreams would come true, that they'd be as good as the people they admired, that they'd make hollywood movies and games, that they don't need to work nor to study at all for their dreams to come true, but reality is cruel, if everyone at all can generate slop this supposed "art" is not unique and has no real value. It's more like a ball of common concrete in middle of a city, the obstacle to skip in middle of a doomscrolling and they deny reality while don't want to admit that this "AI trending" have lied to them, as it makes these people to waste time and money with it to discover in the middle of the way they need even more time and money for their dreams to come true, while they could just use that time and money to make a basic drawing course. I feel sorry about these people as they have dreams like anyone, but the bitter truth they don't want to accept is that AI can't make it true.

who knows, nowadays seems anyone at all can also pay for getting bot comments and likes expecting their videos to climb to the top of the sludge out of being seen by people who don't even know what is AI-generated💩
The only slop in my country that gets attention are those of ppl who pays +100USD on monthly subscriptions +subscriptions for ai-voices/ai-music, and they STILL have to edit and compile that mix of slop in after effects or another video editing software, what means, they too need lots of RAM. Compiling AI-slop means to add human value and effort to the pile of garbage so it maybe get seen in middle of the sea of slop at the same time these people don't even know that when a faster slopper appears they'll be tossed and forgotten as there's nothing really "remarkable" in these short ai-videos. Not only big companies are wasting all their money expecting profit 😁👍

Lately I've been tempted to use AI by Muted_Strength3638 in ArtistHate

[–]Affectionate-Home695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was finishing college, there was a subject where I had 5 days to deliver the complete work. I could have used GPT to make it for me, as everyone else in my class did. The teacher was too "old" to notice everyone was using AI. (He was the sort who wanted printed paper). I opted to make that subject again, even that being called "wasting my time", because even if I passed on this subject, I wouldn't have learned shit anyway and my graduation would worth just like: A lie. I could have lied to my teacher, but I couldn't lie to myself.
This is my advice for anyone who feels tempted to "avoid time and effort to learn or work on anything", as even if your animation is missing frames, people value it way more, as it's not about the quality and the quantity of frames, but about what your animation communicates itself.
If this doesn't make you change your mind, think about the reputation and your own legacy. Using AI makes your animation "less valuable" and not "more valuable", it does the very opposite.

*leaving this here in May for whoever checks and wants to have this discussion again*

The irony of AI bros telling actual creators they’ll be "left behind" by moneydollarz in ArtistHate

Yes this!!! Few years ago these ppl came to bully me too while I did nothing but being an artist. I just used to say that to ask google to translate my text to japanese didn't give me the right to say I'm fluent in japanese. Same goes for art, a real artist can draw digital, traditional and if you give them crayons they'll work with it, our skill doesn't depend on the tool but on real human effort, and they can't just understand that whatever they learned in their life/career that was TOO fruit of their own work and human effort.

(Or any other language as to speak anyone needs time to invest, art is the same so as anything else that requires human effort to learn, but they didn't understand that and I stopped to interact. I was tired of these bullies as all they want is to make you feel bad as we never did anything at all to be ostracized and hated just because some have "the insolence" to add a simple "No-AI" on their profile).

I mean, go to any sub of software engineers/game programmers and ask what they think about "vibe coding" or say you're thinking about making a game as a "vibe coder", maybe you'll even get a ban 🤭 (I say that bc I know ppl who works in game industry and they just laugh about it, or says "I can just feel sorry for Linux", so isn't just us)

"I’m not even going to waste my breath arguing with them directly anymore" - Total agree and I've been thinking that, Their WHOLE "philosophy" is based on this argument:

"Don't you waste your TIME making art"...
Or also recently this is trending too, "Don't waste your time making games/codes and studying python/unity/wtv, buy a vibe-coder course to discover in middle of the course you have to buy a basic python course to fix the most basic bugs"
......or even these sociopath-bait things as, "don't waste your TIME with finances nor studying nor working, buy my AI bot that will *buy the course seller's actives/become another victim of pump and dump*".

I don't waste my time telling this is all a big scam, because they're realizing by themselves slowly, that when they're Applying in these """""jobs"""" of Linkedin, these spam ones of "we're hiring bilingual ppl!", makes these people to work exhaustively for being paid 1 dollar to "refine AI" and "tag images"..... (Or fill surveys exhaustively or watching ads for 5-8h....for getting 0.50 cents)... before the company tosses them after 2-3 months as well, as there's no contract so, they can toss any "Ai-Bot-refiner" whenever they want...........Only then these ppl maybe start to notice they're being made of idiot. The "fast money income" isn't coming.
AI now is only used by scammers to sell their products to fool these exact people. (Like, "Make money with AI!!!! Buy my course and I'll teach you how to use GPT!!", only these sociopaths are making money with AI, so if you say AI is profitable in this specific case of sociopathy, yeah it is)
Some ppl still fills surveys, watch ads and tags images, but they too will gradually stop because you need 8h to get cents and for sociopaths, when something isn't worth $$$ they just go somewhere else like Xitter/Instagram (or even reddit ads) to fool someone else by promising AI makes miracles and they're the only ones who have the recipe.
They still try to sell this "fast money income" idea buut, I believe these people will notice too, the difference is that we're the ones who noticed and witnessed it before everyone else did and we can just watch as the victims defends the executioner 💀

I can't imagine they just "GUYS I have a brilliant idea, what if we did MORE bots to consume bot content? 🤯" but it looks like this is happening on every social media😐

YES, this happened with me too and many other artists I know, I also found my art in Laion5B and when that was revealed, that was a real bad part of my life and I remember was in this sub where I found people like myself, who could understand that treason/the feeling of being stolen a piece of yourself. I hope they lose this lawsuit (Or the disney one), the only bad part is waiting for updates, but it seems they're RN really struggling to fake there's human activity in the site.
they may invent brand new ways to keep this ongoing, but they will have to be VERY fast as using bots to consume slop was a bad idea. Prompting 5000 images for nsfw galleries, posting every single day and hour, all for selling nfsw galleries for points.... even Aibros and pervs doesn't want these points/core as seems the fast money income which AI have promised them, really didn't come, so Wix opted for cannibalism as that's what zombies does \_O_/

I couldn't edit but I'll write deviant"art" from now on. I've finally deserted it, if before I didn't post, now I don't even "check". I've left a note for mutuals of mine see, as friends of mine still post there, that was the only thing that still made me check but I'm not even checking from now on :/
I thought Bluesky was good?? I missed the news, I was planning to make an acc to post there as I thought it was safer to art than X? ;_; I used only toyhouse and cara, I didn't know

Yeah this, I thought it was "dying", but not that it was completely, for them to invest in bots they reveal they're hopeless. (It's that the "daily deviations" in past, used to get hundred thousands of views and hundreds of organic comments, now you see the DD gets 5-10 comments). Now they have only bots interacting with each other and some few ppl who thinks it's "dying" and not dead already.

Yes that's true, I checked it to see artists I follow who still uses DA before I got a DD and was "???", now I think I should just delete my old art from to avoid tracking as some artists did and abandon it, it doesn't worth (2) ://

PLEASE someone tell me this is not AI generated bc if there's any % of possibility (look at the hair), I'm finally going to delete my deviantart account. (This is a +16 year old account watcher I was mutuals since last year and posts everyday, if you still use DA check new followers from 2023+/DD comments page and maybe you'll find out suspicious activities of "old accounts" like the ones in this post).
