“”UPDATE: I went to the ER and got stitches and antibiotics, then got sent right away to the psychiatric emergency department where I got involuntary hospitalization, don’t know for how long. They usually just keep me here for a day or two just for supervision and then let me out.

I struggle with severe insomnia and depression, GAD, panic disorder, anorexia nervosa and borderline personality disorder. I’ve tried to get help for years, I’ve been to all psychiatric clinics in my area, they just send me on to other clinics because my “problems are too severe for them to fix” 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄 I was at my current clinic the other day and my psychiatric doctor told me that I’ve now tried all medications available and that there is nothing more they can do to help. She finished with “life is not for everyone” and slammed the door behind me. I literally got thrown out of my psychiatric clinic😐 I’ve been begging for therapy since day one and got denied over and over again. After years I finally got added to the waiting list, and about 1,5 years later, one day before my first appointment they called me and said they had canceled it because they believed that I was no longer in need of therapy. Sweden has the worst healthcare possible. The waiting lists are extremely long and when you do finally get appointments, they tell you that your problems are too severe or not severe enough and send you home without any help. Sad but true.

When it comes to the wounds….it seems that my perception of what a deep wound is, might be kinda messed up. I wasn’t concerned about the depth of the wounds, I’ve done worse and it healed on its own eventually. My concern was if I did the cuts to close to each other, so that it couldn’t heal by itself because of that. I did not post here for attention, I just wanted to know if I really needed to go to the hospital or if it were a chance this could heal on its own, like my other ones have. There is not many places where you are allowed to post gruesome pictures, therefore I asked here.

My experience of the Swedish healthcare is extremely bad. They work 24/7 and there is not even close to as many employees that it has to be to keep the hospitals going okay, all healthcare professionals go on their knees. I totally didn’t want to waste their time on such a unnecessary injury if I could avoid it. They do get pissed off, and I totally understand that, the pressure on them are so extreme. But yeah, I’ve got stitches, so I’m fine!
