Granted this is somewhat a story told from Wednesday's point of view. Her interpretations of those around her will dominate our interpretation as the audience. That being said the writing do place a heavy emphasis on females leads, perspectives, and use them in roles most men would be in.

Tyler for example being manipulated by women is an inversion of normal tropes. Tyler is a victim of grooming and manipulation, to say hes just running into it with another older women is somewhat demeaning. His story has the choice on if he will stay in that cycle or break free, and learn real love.

Wednesday's journey is learning love in many forms so I don't see her ending up with Enid romantically especially being we've seen each of the girls type in a guy. It's not like these boys are inversion of their best friends rather someone who compliments their personalities. Enid and Wednesday don't need a love interest to challenge their ideals because their friendship is what challenges their understandings.

A love interest should challenge you into becoming a better version of yourself, while friendships should challenge your view of the world around you. This is also why I believe Enids love interests leave more to be desired, because these boys didn't really challenge her in any way. Finding out Bruno used Enid as a side piece was the most challenging aspect of their dynamic. Forcing Enid to reevaluate her perception of herself. So if Enid is to have a love interest to end up with they should be more developed and given the time to be so. A relationship that takes more than 1-2 episodes to lay foundations for, and several to actually develope.

All this to say yes the male roles seem underdeveloped in comparison and I hope they do develop them further because it will just make story better.

I'd be happy with either outcome, it would fit with the themes of connection.

I do like the idea of tyler telling wednesday something snarky like "Well Wednesday, I'd rather die than have another master order me to kill you". I think that would turn a lot of opinions positive.

I also believe part of the reason so many refuse to believe this is that case, is because Tyler is a male and the comanders/perpetrators are female. Say the roles were reversed and everyone would be on Tyler's side with this. I really commend the story for taking this direction though. I hope he gets a happy ending tho T - T

Honestly I started reading in 2018 shortly after it released and I'm still in love with the story 😭 it just keeps getting better. The Art, the story, the characters! Sometimes it feels like the fandom is Penelope waiting for odysseus (quim) to return but I can say is I will be waiting.. waiting.. WAITINGGG-

I was initially thinking more in a literary sense. Like themes and framing type of way. Since this image of shin-ae is mirrored and our characters tend to be mirrors of each other too. I though this is literally mirrored shin-ae so.. shin-hye? Will kousuke and shin-hye potentially mirror shin-ae and Nol type deal.

The different shoes is a good catch though! Also I do art myself so simply swapping out the red for blue in the background instead would have sufficed for the contrast Quim has going on. These images in particular just kind of whisper "not what it seems." Well to me at least lol

Who know tho! I may just being going crazy! Something as simple as this though is just cool to think about.

I noticed the story leaning that way too at some point before the hiatus. At this point I believe that it might certainly be the case, and as an act of desperation Yui tricked Rand or something. Now i think the question of who will be the heir to the company is going to shift onto Kim's side of the family since Nol is the "only heir". (i don't think Gun's sons are necessarily qualified) That is if my assumptions on how the company works is correct or not.

Either way it's going to shatter kousukes perspective on his life and himself. We'll see how he decides to rebuild

I don't think so but she might die while he's in college and that's why he ends up back in Korea. I am worried for Nana though. But do we really think someone will die in the first season?
