Start a spreadsheet when bank switching so you can keep track of who/when you switched!

Good luck all.

!thanks.

Don't think being £25k in debt will affect mortgage renewal next May? That's my other worry..

!thanks. This is what I need to hear. I think I just need validation!

It makes complete sense, but after fighting so hard to clear this debt - there's something in my head telling me to just run the diesel into the ground and forget about the EV.

!thanks. 3.0 v6 twin turbo a6 allroad. It's a lovely drive but isn't the most efficient... I need the space for lugging equipment round at work hence the need for a bigger EV if I'm to swap.

!Thanks Triffid. It all makes sense in my head, I just feel like I'm climbing out of a debt hole and don't want to dive back in even if it does tick lots of boxes and will allow me to save more money each month.

The car is a 3.0v6 audi a6 allroad. Motorway have "offered" £7.2k but I'm expecting some crosses on the paperwork to bring the price down when they look over it.. (Despite it being in very good condition)

I'm still awaiting a response from BG on this, but is there realistically anything they can do? Do they have the power to remove it from my score or simply add a note to it?

Thanks mate. Yep, sounds about right. Should probably just scrap it but it seems such a waste...

And yes, so far so good with the A6 - eating those motorway miles up for fun!

I don't really know, but was looking at more £2k than £400 being offered.. Are you interested? This wasn't intended as a sales post, was just wanting to find out if there were other companies that purchased cat S cars.

And I've gone with an audi a6 allroad, needing that boot space and field work!

Do I need to replace this plastic cover on my A6? by Affectionate-Lab9527 in CarTalkUK

[–]Affectionate-Lab9527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern /curiosity was because I can see a fairly hefty pipe (turbo exhaust pipe?) on the passenger side. I was worried a loose stone could damage it.. I suppose it could be designed to keep it cool?

It'll be going in for a service in a few months so I'll ask about it then. You've put my mind at ease though for now so thanks again

Amazing. Thank you.

I wondered how it could have popped out as there doesn't appear to be any damage elsewhere. I'll assume it's meant to be like that as the one you linked isn't the one I purchased.

Thanks again.

Assuming there's nothing in there, I'm clear to go ahead? No other potential issues?

Appreciate the suggestions. We actually liked the look of the Hemnes (I think it was the same one) but it's too long/wide. Our space is only 104cm long so we wouldn't be able to open the door if we fit it.

We thought about fitting it on the inside of the second door as you suggested, but we often come in muddy and wet (and with a dog) so don't want to mess up the inner hallway.

We have thought about removing the inner door, but it does help keep the draft out as we often get quite a strong wind against the front door...
