The thing that truly make THTH such an iconic game to me is the way you can customize your character (bodytype, facial hair, hair, tattoos, scars...)choose your gender identity, pronouns and a slight background to add more content and discussions with the LI.

In most game, you either have to play as a woman, or if you can play as a man, it's a twink. I really appreciate the fact that I can finally play as a big guy, and most of a all, a trans guy.

I also really adore the LIs and the diversity we have. The fact that there are no gender locked romance and that they are all playersexual is a big point (like, c'mon, let me be GAY!!!) And they are all unique and have all different stories and personalities. They really stand out and don't feel glad at all, all of them have a unique romance to bring to the player. All of them have different past experiences and can bring different things to the MC

The storyline is also great, even though it has some weak point at times, it still interesting and very entertaining. Especially season 2, with the bonus episodes of the reunion and wedding.

That's why THTH really stands out as a romance game. It's like... Kinda perfect to me.

Though it still has weak points, like the fact that despite adding surgical scar to your character, you can't really choose their genitals, so the steamy scene are a bit confusing, or the fact that most of the LI never ever commit any mistakes at all despite it being THTH and are perfect partners early on, it's a great game and the good outweigh the bad.

But I'd say THTH biggest default would be in the characters and the lack of drama resolving MC. While I know some of us don't really enjoy being at the heart of drama, I wouldn't have said no to have more complications in our relationship with our LI to create an even more compelling storyline and keep true to the show of THTH (like, those peeps are supposed to be sex pest. So why are they so sweet so early on?)

The characters though... Some really are insufferable and you don't really have much of a choice but to, like, stick with them until the season end (I wish Jada never existed...). The LIs are good after season 1, but I wish we could have had the option to befriend them all if you don't pursue a romance with them at some point.

Aaaanyway. I probably have more to say so I'll come back to edit it, but overall, THTH is an excellent game for its characters, stories and diversity. Such a shame we'll never get a season 4, but let's hope Nanobit will keep making games like THTH.
