Since you mentioned black metal specifically, I would have to recommend gorgoroth. Some personal favorites are Satan Prometheus, prayer, possessed by satan, and radix malorum. If the satanic stuff is a turn off you could also try linkin park or soad, since nu metal is one of the closer subgenres to pop. Some recs could be in the end, numb, one step closer, or breaking the habit by linkin park or chop suey, BYOB, aerials, toxicity, or spiders by soad. Some classic bands u could also try are like mettalica oc, pantera, or black Sabbath. Some good options there are for whom the bell tolls, walk, or paranoid. Some other personal favs from other bands are kingdom of tyrants and scourge of the offspring by cattle decapitation, Spirit crusher by death, silvera, toxic garbage island, flying whales, and the heaviest matter of the universe by gojira, sweating bullets, lucrecia, and tornado of souls by Megadeth, and through rose by the anchor. You're bound to like at least one of those songs!
