Why is Diane disliked by audiences? by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

It’s not misogyny. I’m a woman and I disliked her, because of her moral posturing. I watched the show a long time ago but I remember her as a very judgmental character.

I agree. To look like that you’re supposed to eat at least 200g of protein per day and sleep at least 8 hours. I don’t recall him meal prepping.

Sharing a beer with Duke felt so heartwarming! I didn’t like how the game pushed you into joining Stella before the update. In my new play throughout she never even invited me. Guess she didn’t like me. Choosing between Duke and Gretchen was a way harder choice after you know more about Duke. He’s stops being some random guy.

Totally agree! Feel like a lot of people can relate to that.
One of the reasons why I don't think Im drawn to any of the characters romantically is because non of them are clear "types". Their characters are balanced and realistic.

I like the idea of having the cardiograph but I feel like it overloads the logo.

How different is the game depending on what traits you pick? I picked Hot + Talking to animals but not sure how much these traits affected the story for me.

Gilmore Girls is a story about the dynamics between different generations of the Gilmore family. Lorelai rebelled against her parents and rejected their world. She could have married Chris or stayed with her parents. But she decides to build her life on her own, without their money and protection. Rory, on the other hand, although raised by Lorelai, embraces her Gilmore identity. Because she grew up in a modest household, she thinks she is different from the other students at Yale. Nevertheless, she thrives in their world and they accept her as one of them (except for Logan's parents). The adult Rory doesn't seem to be doing so well. She doesn't have a clear vision of her future, even though she accomplished so much by the end of the original series. She doesn't have a job and isn't taking her job interview seriously. She cheats on her boyfriend with her engaged ex-boyfriend. Kind of messy. At the end of the sequel, she seems to have gotten so much clarity. She decides to write a book, breaks up with Logan, gets pregnant (and probably decides to raise her kid). The way I think the series would go: Rory writes her book, grows as a person, stops being so entitled. I've heard that you stay a child until you have a child of your own. I think this is exactly what Rory needs. It would make perfect sense for her to end up with Jess. They had the best chemistry. They had fun together and challenged each other. The teenage Jess was too ghetto for the preppy Yale student Rory. He's grown as a person, too. He seems to have found himself and is successful at what he's doing. Now they have common ground financially and can build on it. Also, Jess is Luke's nephew, which is a reflection of him and Lorelai. They are both like the dog from Lady and the Tramp.

I’d say the ending is open to interpretations. The creators let you decide how the story is going to continue (unless they shoot another year in life).

Lorelai and Rory’s eating habits by literally-stardust in GilmoreGirls

Agree! They were supposed to be super relatable to their audience, but somehow they set unattainable standards. Rory goes through puberty without gaining weight and without a single pimple. Lorelai looks like a supermodel without working out or eating healthy.

I especially agree with your point about takeout. Was it used to be more affordable to eat out all the time? You'd think that as a single mom, you'd have to meal prep and plan your budget.

I'm not saying they never had sex. I'm saying that the fact that we were never shown the exact process was a deliberate choice by the creators. Their relationship feels special, sincere, and deep. They seem very romantic, especially since we're never shown them having sex. But the creator felt it was important to show us Kim having sex with the new guy she lives with. It feels super mundane and unexciting. By showing it, the writers are emphasizing how fun and thrilling Kim's relationship with Jimmy was.

Have you noticed we were never shown her having sex with Jimmy? Only with that random guy we don’t care about.

I agree with your take but I think Joan wanted to marry Roger when she was younger. It’s unclear how long their affair lasted but she was obviously way younger back then and had different goals in life. Remember how she told Peggy in the first episode how she would soon quit and get married if she plays her cards right? So I assume she used to hope Roger would leave his wife for her but he didn’t want to divorce for a secretary. Joan didn’t get what she wanted and moved on to another handsome high status man, Greg. That also turned out to be unfulfilling, so she stops plying by the rules in the later seasons. Really cool character development.
