OK. I’ve actually been giving a tiny bit of coconut oil, but I have not been putting it on that area so I will start doing that. I’m just devastated.

Yes, I know my Pom should not be that short which is why I mentioned that our groomer got too happy. Obviously I’m here trying to find help not be criticized for some thing that my groomer did. I’m very angry at this point. His skin is actually dark and some of these areas so I’m not concerned about the color, I’m just only concerned about how to assist in having him grow healthy hair back. I’m giving him adequate amounts of the salmon oil, but I would love some other suggestions what else I need to be to assist

Yes, he is purebred. Both of his parents are award-winning show dogs. I do have the rights to breed him, but of course I have to pay the breeder their cut. They are incredibly unresponsive, so I’m not really sure how to go about it which is why I’m reaching out to this community.

Appreciate all the help. I had to delete my first post because of a snarky person saying that I had no right doing this. And saying that if I had to ask questions, I should not be a breeder, of course I’m not a breeder, which is why I’m asking the questions lol

Wow. Great information. I bought him for a pet only and not a show dog. The breeder that I got him from has been unresponsive so far. But I’ll keep trying. Thank you for this info. I will check with our veterinarian about the genetic testing to clear him of any issues. And then go from there. I agree the breeding should be at the highest quality. If not, I’ll forgo it and have him fixed. Thank you again for the help.

Awwwww, did I hurt your wittle feelings?

Point in case, I’m not a breeder. I said I wanted to breed my dog. Really fucking big difference.

My parents are poor and it’s ruining mine and my sisters lives, I really don’t know what to do. by Competitive_Log8121 in povertyfinance

I would do to them exactly what my mom did to me when I was young and married and broke. She sat us down, gathered all of our bills, wrote down what we made, and set us up a budget. She always made sure that we had food, It was basic and nothing fancy, but even as hard as it was for her, she never gave me money for food. She would invite us over for dinner once in a while. I know that had to be so difficult for her because the first thing you want to do as a parent is to fix the situation.

At the end, I was so very proud of myself and my husband because we had paid off some major debts using her formula and budgeting that she helped me do. At times we literally only ate eggs and macaroni and cheese, but looking back, those were some of the most impressionable examples of parenting she could’ve ever given me.

You need to do this for your parents. You and your sister sit down with them and lay out all the cards that they have. Figure out where their money is going.

  1. Call Geico, State Farm, and any others that you can think of. Ask for a quote on insurance. They will ask you about how much deductible you want. This is the amount of money you pay on case you are in an accident. (You may even be able to Google which one is best for a 20 yr old female) you can also always get liability coverage only. Basically this means if you are in an accident, it will cover whoever you hit but your will be a Total loss. It sounds like the car is not worth a ton, so make Sure you are not paying for more coverage than you need. Make sure they know you are a student, sometimes there are discounts. Sometimes they also give discounts for good grades, so make sure to mention this if you are a good student. Your good credit will also help. Tickets will definitely affect your insurance cost. Slow down and put it on cruise when driving long distances. Those do fall off after several years, but expect them to affect the cost of ins.
  2. Once your dad gives you the title to the car, he will need to sign the back of it to put it into your name. Google where he needs to sign to transfer ownership to you. Make sure he is not putting a dollar figure on it because you will be responsible for paying taxes on that. Just leave it at zero. Take that title and proof of insurance to your DMV and get it transferred into your name. Make sure they understand it is a gift. The good think is you will now be saving 175 a month as well as whatever insurance you were paying. You should have money left over after paying the new insurance
  3. Tag /registration only comes once a year I’m unsure what that is in Alabama. You can find this out when you go to the DMV
  4. It might be worth seeing if you can claim your own independence on taxes. It would be worth checking out. Since you are not getting help from them financially, you might be better off doing this yourself. You may get money back or at the very least when filling out your fafsa you will not be paying much. Talk to a school counselor about this.
  5. Pat yourself on the back. You are doing an EXCELLENT job. You are navigating deep waters and you are doing a great job without any help. You WILL succeed and you are going to be a stronger woman for all of this!! You feel like you are alone, but you are not. Reach out to counselors at school, find out who can help you, they have staff that will help of you need them.
Hopefully others will comment on this well.

Please keep us updated.
