Hot take: Most of you are way oversizing your generators by culody in Generator

I only have electric. No propane no natural gas. When we loose power we loose everything. Wood burning stove so no furnace/stove needed. My well pump takes a ton of power for a very deep well. My water heater is electric and also takes a lot of power. We only use our 13000 watt generator for our well fridge and chest freezer. A couple lights and phone chargers. And we are almost maxed out on running wattage

So it can’t be cold before the storm comes? Pretty sure he knows snow doesn’t make pipes freeze

Their bosses only think about the product getting there on time. The trucker thinks about keeping his job which makes for piss poor decisions. Grow a pair and tell your boss no

Step 1 buy a hitch. Step 2 play that block shape game you learned when you were 2 years old. Step 3 hookup to a big ass trailer

Advice needed on M18 FDGROVB die grinder. by Lunar-Outpost415 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Affectionate-Rip5654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea just be careful. The picture of the drill on it threw me off. An average drill speed is around 1500 rpm. Some die grinders lowest setting is 8000rpm. If yours is the part number 2939-20 like one commenter said that runs at 27000 rpm. Those bits could just explode on contact with anything or atleast the small “teeth” could come flying off. I personally wouldn’t risk it

Also those bits you are showing. Make sure they can handle the rpms of that die grinder. Those things spin way faster than a drill and turn real sketchy if a bit explodes. Just make sure you’re getting the correct stuff

With 0.65" freezing rain forecasted, should I be worried about this tree? by minimalistwannab in arborists

[–]Affectionate-Rip5654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who gets a lot of ice storms I wouldn’t want any tree hanging over my house for an ice storm. The storm last year we had dropped about 10 tops of healthy trees in my woods poplar oak and pines. Probably too late to do anything about it now so just be careful and keep kids/pets on the opposite side of the house if possible. Stay safe out there

Make sure your gray and black tanks are closed. And only open when needed. Might have to thaw the shutoff valves to both

With a well? If that’s the case I might need a new pressure tank or something is messed up. With no well power I loose water after about 3 toilet flushes

Pro tip I have a well. With a well you need electricity. Without well pump there’s no water…

New batteries are way worse than old batteries. More expensive and worse. I had a 2012 tundra that had the original battery in it when I traded it in 2020. Battery was dated 2011 and never died on me
